To imagine that this movie is from a comic book is shocking, especially from an iconic character such as the wolverine. Logan has it all and stands on its own, the story was perfectly crafted, the drama was very well felt and the action kicked in all the right places. Hugh Jackmans performance was unbelievably amazing and Patrick Stewart was astonishingly great. This is the wolverine movie that should of been made and you don't even have to be a fan of the genre to love this one.

I enjoyed the first chapter so had to watch the second. I have read it is much closer to the book than the 80s version, however having never read the book i can't comment on that element.
The movie is set years after the first one and the loser gang have now gone their seperate ways, All but one had moved out of derry, some of them have a successful career and Beverly is unfortunately in an abusive marriage, but all this changes when they get the dreaded phone call to come back to derry - pennywise has returned and needs to be destroyed for good! The first few minutes of the movie where we are reintroduced to the characters is pretty slow going but once they meet up at the restaurant, things move pretty quickly and you forget how long the movie actually is. What i found with this movie though is how funny it is, not just at the humour between the group but the different monsters we meet, for example a zombie knew how to drive a car 😂😂. I was a little disappointed with the ending as i expected something spectacular to kill him, but it was literally just belittling pennywise until he shrunk down into a baby like form and then removing his heart and squeezing it until he dies, it just seemed too easy! I'm also surprised that they still had him tramsform into a spider like form, despite people not liking the original ending, again though this might be in the book. Regardless of these faults though i still enjoyed the movie and highly recommend it.

The Perfect Family Movie
I'm always wary heading into the cinema to see a 'family' movie, especially those featuring a CGI main character interacting with live human actors. Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Smurfs, The Scooby Doo movie - they've all done a pretty good job of destroying the genre, along with countless others. Even the better films struggle to engage the interest of kids and adults alike. But Paddington is just different. The sequel greatly improves on an already enjoyable first movie, and to be honest it's pretty difficult for me to write anything negative about it at all.

The story is a simple one. Paddington wants to buy a very special present for his Aunt Lucy's 100th birthday, and sets his sights on buying her a lovely pop-up book of London landmarks, London being the one place she always wanted to visit. The book is quite expensive though, so Paddington sets about earning the money himself. Unfortunately things go very wrong, with Paddington ending up jailed for a crime he did not commit.

An all-star cast play a huge variety of strange and wonderful characters, but the best of them all is the villain of the story. Hugh Grant gets to ham things hilariously up as Phoenix Buchanan, an actor longing for the limelight once more, reduced instead to starring in dog food commercials. Visual gags are carefully staged, then perfectly executed and the whole movie provides the ideal mix of laughs, peril, warmth and charm. The perfect family movie!

I LOVED Ready Player One! I read it when it originally came out, and I loved how fresh and modern the story was. It was the perfect change of pace from other books that I had recently read. The story allows your imagination to soar, and the story is continually interesting. The book is way better than the movie, though it was fun to see it in movie form. Ready Player One is a fun, easy, smooth, exciting, interesting read!

Oh my gosh ! what an adorable book - but a bit heavy on the content too - Lina was a strong presence to read about and Ren was just a cutie - I thought their "drama" was a bit overdone an it could have gone without but hey, a book needs a bit of something something to make it a bit more - then again, the whole Lina situation was drama in itself so I think it would have been good either way - also, I think this book would make a spectacular movie!

Firefly Meets Wizards
This book was advertised as Firefly with wizards, and that's pretty much what it is. There is almost a one-to-one correlation between the characters in the book and the characters in Firefly. That being said, I love Firefly and enjoyed the story very much. It's a fast-paced space opera. The story felt a little short to me, more like a TV episode verses a movie. The book was self-published and had some editing problems (specifically typos).

I chose to read this book as I saw the advert for the TV series just before it was due, and felt that it sounded really interesting. I like to read books before the film or TV series is released wherever possible to fully enjoy the story as intended as the series or movie can be very different. I read through the book very quickly and found it difficult to put down. Neil Gaiman is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

Based on true events about a multiple homicide in mid 20th century America, the book explores the reasons and the consequences of the event. The reader faces dilemma of being horrified and dispising the reasonless act of crime; pity to those left behind and lives lost as well as feeling simpathetic to the criminals and seeing their human side.
Capotes writing is brilliant. Nothing like his other famous work Breakfast at Tiffany's, but nonetheless no less breathtaking.
I recommend watching a movie Capote after reading to find out how the book came to be.
