Not quite as good as the immensely popular Sharpe series, but still an enjoyable enough read. Gets a bit bloodier than usual for his books, but then again: it is about a famous battle, after all!

Sunrunners Fire ( Dragon Prince book 3)

The discovery of the Star Scroll, a repository of forgotten spells of sorcery, threatens the Sunrunners as Andry attempts to master the ancient knowledge, Pol seeks to touch the minds of dragons, and an old enemey reawakens.

These books get better with each one! They are a bit slow going but you realise how much you need that extra information as you get towards the end! Now not many books bring a tear but when Rohan and Sioned tell Pol about his birth and parentage I couldn’t stop myself! Over 3 books and they are thick books you come to love and despise these characters. It’s definitely a an epic journey. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes from the next set of books.

I just can't say enough good things about this book. It's well-plotted. There's an excellent cast of characters, and they develop in interesting ways. The world-building is wonderfully rich.

I have the same incredible, bubbly feeling that I did when reading the very first Dresden Files novel by Jim Butcher--gimme more! Fortunately, there are already three more books available in the series ([b:Hexed|9595650|Hexed (Iron Druid Chronicles, #2)|Kevin Hearne|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320539847s/9595650.jpg|14482685], [b:Hammered|9595620|Hammered (Iron Druid Chronicles, #3)|Kevin Hearne|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1311632977s/9595620.jpg|14482655] and [b:Tricked|12700306|Tricked (Iron Druid Chronicles, #4)|Kevin Hearne|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1324455119s/12700306.jpg|16669362]) with a fifth (Trapped) on the way.

I was having a conversation about the things I have found in used books, and I was wondering what some of your coolest/ weirdest finds have been? My latest find was a coupon that expired in 1999.

I found a letter in the back of a book telling about the first readers thoughts......all the readers before me added their name and a little message. It was almost like a traveling book.

I have to look through all of my books before I sell them to a used bookstore because I tend to put dollars in them when I don't have pockets and have found a few in my personal books. But the coolest is finding a purchased book was a birthday note written in 1967 to the reciever.

"I opened this book seeking answers about the relationships between creativity, vulnerability, and courage. I didn’t expect it to profoundly change the way I work. This is one of the most important leadership books of our time"

"I read this in my early twenties when I was voraciously devouring autobiographical books about lesbians and gay men. Lorde’s examination of her multiple outsiderness—black, female, queer, West Indian, poet—pried my sheltered mind wide open."

"Vonnegut always had this caustic, sarcastic wit that I felt was missing from a lot of the books that were assigned to me at school. It’s hilarious, and wonderfully imaginative, and really withering about the human race"
