This was one of my favourite books when I was younger.
And reading it while I'm older, its still a brilliant book.
I love the writing style with the P.O.V coming from black beauty. You feel like you're watching his life unfold from the side lines. While reading I was transported to 19th century England, and while it's just a story, its horrible to know the horrors that some horses went through.
This book will always remain one of my favourites.

"Captured used to be my favourite Jenkins romance, but Night Hawk recently took the top spot because its lead couple is just so brilliant. This historical romance follows an infamous Wild West gunslinger turned US Marshall as he transports a feisty prisoner. They prove her innocence, fall in love, thwart various nefarious plots on their journey home, and generally run around being badass. I especially fell in love with the plucky, witty heroine and her completely relatable thirst for revenge."

"Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie both look amazing in this film. It’s also a brilliant document of Venice in the early ’70s. It’s a stunning-looking film. And interestingly, Geoff’s father-in-law was the main cameraman! The scene at the top of the bell tower in St. Mark’s Square, where Donald Sutherland’s legs are dangling—they’re Geoff’s father-in-law’s legs! I don’t think Donald fancied the climb?!! It’s also the best horror ending ever, without a doubt. —Billy Fuller"

"The brilliant teacher I had for a Shakespeare seminar at Yale (Joel Dorius) asked us one day if we had an idea of what heaven, for us, would consist of. What you’d hope it would be. His own answer: “Just to sit in a screening room, watching Marcel Carné’s Children of Paradise projected repeatedly and endlessly throughout eternity.” Hard to argue with that when you see and resee this classic. Dorius’s version of heaven beats hell out of harps and angels."

"This was the first political film I ever saw that had strong genre elements. I saw it when I was a teenager, so the story was quite obscure to me, and yet I fell into it because I was so enthralled by the pacing. It’s a brilliant portrait of what it means to be pushed into telling something other than the truth. I found myself riveted by all the different perspectives that can inform how we understand a single event."

Oh these boots were definitely made for walking!
As a huge fan of the film and musicals in general, this had a lot to live up to. But I was happy. It was so very well done and captured the humor and magic of the film.
Was I sad they did not sing "these boots were made for walking" or the medaly at the end of the film? Yes. But it was still brilliant. A great musical experience.

Brilliant
Possibly the best series yet. Despite the shocking ending of the last series I did wonder if this series might dip a bit below the others. I need not have worried. It carries on much the same with another gripping story and with others close to realising the truth about Dexter. With 2 great guest stars, Peter Weller the original Robocop and Julia Stiles who is great. Again another gripping finale after more close scrapes.

I have never really been into science fiction novels, steering more toward fantasy. Enders game was probably the first science fiction book I've read and I was so impressed. The idea of video gamers being chosen for war is brilliant and the development of all the characters is very intriguing. The psychology used on the kids is fascinating, brutal and so effective its scary. Loved delving into this novel and hope one day theres a film that is actual worth it.

Not as good as a show in Boulevard.
I love shows with Drag Queens. They are so over the top and hilarious. And they can laugh at themselves where women can't. This show wasn't as good as maybe, an episode of Rupaul or a show in Boulevard but it still deserved a standing ovation which it got! The songs and the performance in this show were brilliant! And my favourite part? That weird stop in the desert with all the hillbillies. Such fun!
