"Money Talks, by Brett Ratner. [both laugh] Rel: Henry, why do you like that? Henry: Because it’s a pitch perfect action comedy. We watched it recently. You know what’s also a pitch-perfect buddy comedy? Rush Hour. But that’s not in my top five."

Psych is full of pop culture references, buddy comedy, drama, and suspense. It is one of my favorite TV shows. There are many references only Psych-o's may get (PINEAPPLE!). It's definitely worth binging multiple times over!

"I grew up in L.A. in the ’80s, and drove a Chevy Malibu—so this film spoke to me. Emilio as Otto and Harry Dean Stanton as Bud in the best kind of supernatural buddy comedy whodunit—in an Alex Cox rock-and-roll world!"

"Sid Caesar, Buddy Hackett, Milton Berle! I don’t think I have ever used the term madcap, but it’s suitable here. Stanley Kramer’s crazy comedy/adventure has great action and standout performances from many of the top comics of the ’60s. A groovy ride, and in 70 mm, yet."

A mixed bag, funny in parts and pretty awful in others. No way near one of the better cop buddy films. I don't find Bruce Willis is suited to comedy at the best of times and I didn't find the other guy funny at all, assume he's a comedian? Catch it on TV.

Good mix of action and comedy (1 more)
Cool cast
Good buddy cop series
It's fairly similar to the films in terms of the main characters. It has a big budget feel, plenty of action and a decent amount of funny moments. Again it's the contrast in the 2 main characters that make it funny. Worth checking out if you like the films.

Fun send up of film noir in pulp literature and los angeles culture in a frozen celluloid time capsule
Set in a decade where the comedy and homages work in todays modern popular culture. This unlikely pair lead the story in an unconventional take on the buddy cop/comedy as they work in opposition to each other to solve a dark crime, with a seedy leadup, all the while surrounded by the city of hollywood and its movie star culture. Something out of the pages of a detective fiction magazine. Post modern film noir in a brighter reflection of itself
