nice easy read
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

Dimitri has just 5 days to convince Dena she is his fated mate, or he will die.

I really rather enyoyed this short tale of a lonley vampire waiting out his fate, I really did!

It's only short, 100 odd pages, but it was a surprising read and I cannot say why!

It's not overly sexy, and at one point I thought it might turn out clean, but I would have still enjoyed it.

Dimitri is vampire, and has some skills not *usually* associated with vampires: he can change shape into anything and every thing, he can magic things up and away. I liked that, its different.

Dena is as lonely as Dimitri and she has a strong voice, and won't take any nonsense off Dimitri when he pulls the alpha male thing, and I loved that she stood up to him.

Both Dena and Dimitri have a say, in the third person, and I read this book in one sitting. A very enjoyable sitting it was too.

Not read anything else by this author, and I would like to read more.

Truly unique story
Truly a unique and heartfelt story
I can say that Monsters Inc is a great Disney pixar movie and I love the whole story it is so unique but still something that doesn't feel completely wild and non-Disney Pixar.

The reason for the lowering rating is while I acknowledge it is a great movie there was always something about it that kept me from watching it multiple times.

You're beautiful.
I watched this when it was first aired and I thought it was fantastic. It battles real life problems and something any girl/woman can relate to.
It makes you laugh, cry, hate, love and just about everything else. All the characters have been casted Brilliantly but I will say that Rae is acted absolutely perfectly, Sharon Rooney is such a terrific actress and she makes the show a must watch.
It's gripping, heartbreaking, soul warming and definitely recommended.

O.M.G... I have been waiting impatiently for this book and all I can say is Callie has once again outdone herself...I think Heath may just be my man! These two were hot as hell from their very first encounter and it sure seems like nothing will slow them down ;-) Absolutely incredible story, lovable characters and a beautiful storyline. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended book, series and author!!!

Excellent
I see what the hype is all about!! When I saw a few trailers this looked liked an odd teen-comedy to me?! After finally watching it, I can say it blends elements of Watchmen, Kill Bill, and Superbad. Quite violent and bloody for a film with a strong dose of comedy. It has some great action scenes, a very cool car and a fine soundtrack too! This film does what it says on the cover, it Kicks-Ass!!

"I can give you them as they come to mind; right now, when you say “five favorite films,” the first one that came to my mind — and I’m trying to think of different genres as well — the first one that came to my mind is The Shining. I do not know why, but that’s been one of my all-time favorite films. I’ve seen it about four times. I think that’s a lot for someone who’s completely petrified by darkness and lonely places."

"I loved this film when I was younger (still do), dragging friends and family to revival houses to see its wonderful, pointed, sad satirical lunacy. It also has one of the best in-camera scene transitions ever done, and Peter O’Toole’s gloriously over-the-top performance is priceless. I understand some of the criticisms I’ve heard—it’s theatrical, it’s awkward at times, but it’s also fearless, funny, chilling, and unique, qualities that trump anything else you can say about it."

A nice surprise
I had never heard of this book until I was given it as a birthday present because it won the Boiler prize the year I was born (1987). All I can say is what a pleasant surprise. It's a well written and intriguing story of the life and loves of a woman on her death bed. The main character Claudia is very flawed, but it makes her more real, personable and intriguing, and there are a few interesting story developments that keep you reading throughout.

I think this book needs to come with a warning "tissues will definitely be required". this is the first book by this author that I've read and I will be defiantly cant wait to read more. I loved how the book started at the present day then went back to the beginning to tell the love story finishing back at present day. a fantastic book with a brilliant a story line and even better characters.

I believe this is the first time I've read a book that has left me perplexed on how many stars I should give it. It started a bit slow for me and then I found myself feeling sad for Corbin and her hoarding mom. From there I experienced moments of horror and confusion and just when I thought I had figured out the truth, a pebble was thrown across my path which caused me to take a detour. "We're all mad here" kept scrolling across my mind as I got deeper into the thick of it.

The storyline was interestingly written and many times poetic. I want to describe Corbin as a strong young woman who deals the best way she can with her circumstances but does she really? I can with all certainty say that readers will enjoy the complexity of this story
