Just watched wow as I originally saw the orignal David lynch version back in the 80s the one sting and thinking this was a good movie back then. now I've seen the new version and I would have to say this version is far superior especially in the effects department they can do stuff that the orignal couldn't back then. As I watched in 4dx 3d which could get bumpy at times after 2 and half hours. Overall good movie bring on part 2

I'd say 3.5 to 4 .. it's full of action and what action is in there is good - it plays out like a movie or books I've read before - but in any book like this I think it would read the same - I called a few things I think though it did not end how I would have expected there were some characters in there that entertained me quite a lot and I am curious if they will be in the next book because I'll be continuing. My only complaint is that I can't understand a word of the names/the magic/the places - I mean I get you have to be unique but at least give me names and places I can pronounced ok thanks.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the first. I think it was being back in the dragon village and away from Will that did it because he had really grown on me in the first book and I wanted him and Jacinda to get their HEA.

Saying that though, I have to admit that Cassian grew on me in this one. He wasn't what she'd thought he was for so long so the love triangle aspect pulled me in various directions throughout the book until I think I can say that it didn't really matter to me who she chose in the end (though I tend to think; stick with the first one who sends your heart aflutter)

By the end Jacinda had made her mind up and I can admit that I was happier than if she'd picked the other guy.

Now onto book three to see how it all ends.

Instagram.....this is what I use mainly, more so than Facebook. It's something different and interesting to see people posts pictures instead of a status. I love putting up a picture of the day or even a quote of the day because I believe there's different ways to look at a picture, like that saying, a photo can tell you a 1000 words (something like that).

I do think it's got slightly more technical since the updates as years have gone on, I know to keep ahead of the game and more modernised. In some elements I do feel like it has copied Snapchat and Messenger were it didn't need it.

It has great effects on it from black and white to changing your photo to sepia or enhancing tones and shading. I do like doing all the different enhancements myself to find the perfect way I want my photo to look.

All in all, I can't really say much of a bad thing about Instagram because I use it everyday. I would definitely reccomend, especially if you want to try something new or express yourself more than words could.

Deep Blue Sea (1999)
Deep Blue Sea (1999)
1999 | Action, Drama, Horror
Deep Blue Sea will always have a special place in my heart. At the time of its release, I was eight years old and it’s one of the few horror movies (if you can call it that) that I was allowed to watch. With that said, it’s a guilty pleasure and finding it on Netflix the other night was pretty amazing.

They say the path to Hell is paved with good intentions and Deep Blue Sea reminds us exactly how such proverbs can come true. Dr. Susan McAlester’s unhealthy obsession with finding a cure for Alzheimer’s guides her to costly extremes – and no price is too high in her book. It’s a classic example of sacrificing the few to aid the many, and it is, admittedly, a little overdone.

That said, this movie has some pretty awesome, if dated, death scenes – which I won’t go into detail about in case you haven’t seen it. What I can say is that this is actually a movie where Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t say “motherfucking.” (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t recall hearing it at all, which was a shocker.)

Naturally, Deep Blue Sea isn’t something that’s breathtakingly amazing. It’s got its moments though, and it is a fun jaunt through what goes wrong when you mess with things you don’t know about. Seriously, it’s worth a watch for some of its silly little comedic moments, at that. Pretty solid three out of five.

You can dress up garbage and call it art, but it's still garbage.
Don't really know what to say about this one. There are a few very disturbing scenes, but otherwise, this movie is a slog, to say the least. I was hooked in by seeing Dakota Johnson and hearing some reviews of this being the new scariest movie of the year. Well, Johnson wasn't particularly good in it, and the movie wasn't scary at all. It seemed to be disturbing just for the sake of being so. Maybe I just struggle with arthouse fare, but I was ready to turn this one off less than a half hour through. I'm mad at myself for knowingly choosing to push play on this movie.

"There’s a funny story here. When I was with Dave Roth he would always talk about Tom Waits in a very respectful way which was rare. I never heard Dave speak reverently about anybody and I didn’t even know who Tom Waits was. I had never come across his music. But all through the years, Dave would always say, ‘Yeah, like Tom Waits’ and I’d just say ‘Yeah, yeah!’ And then I was on tour with Whitesnake and there was this band opening up called Bad English whose singer was a guy called John Waite and I thought “Wow, this was what Dave was talking about? Hmm, it’s kind of strange because it’s not the kind of singer that Dave would be reverent about.” And then I realized I had the wrong guy… So I went to the store and bought about twenty Tom Waits albums and (one of them was Mule Variations), and I remember that I was listening to all these records, getting three tracks in and literally throwing them away. Then I put Mule Variations on and stopped dead in my tracks. It completely leveled me and I can say – out of everybody I’ve talked about – Tom Waits is my favorite artist now. I completely resonate deeply with his music, his voice and his lyrics; I buy everything he ever does. He’s one of those guys who are totally at one with the creative element with no excuses or concerns about what’s going on around him – totally uncompromising.A lot of people think they’re uncompromising, but they’re not…"

Better than Expected!
Ok. So I heard all of the negativity surrounding this film before I went to go see it. So I had very low expectations for this film. I can easily say I was pleasantly surprised. This movie had me on the edge of my seat for a lot of the film and I actually cared about a lot of the characters. I think this movie was the scariest of any of the Jurassic films so far and that director J.A. Bayona is a previous Horror director and it really comes out in this film. There are definitely some really interesting and diverse shots in this film. Go see this for the fun and the thrills!

For me, this was a film that could have been great. I remember hearing stories of the slender man when I was a kid and being truly scared so I was eagerly anticipating this release.
Sadly after watching it however, I can say that it failed at every turn. Although the actors were good, the general plot and production lacked. The story slowed in the middle and I found myself dwindling in interest and concentration. Predictable jump scares along with scenes that I believe we're supposed to be scary but just ended up messed up and mildly disturbing.
Overall a watchable film but I feel this would be more suited to a wider audience than avid horror fans.

Too many dull spots (0 more)
I honestly went back and forth on how to properly rate this book. It was a quick read, but I almost gave up in a couple spots. The beginning was frustrating, with the MC encountering and complaining about problems she obviously put herself in. Then the twists started coming, and every time I thought I had it figured out, another twist hit, down to the literal last page. Did I absolutely love it? Not really. It was fine. Wild towards the end even. I'd probably give the beginning 2/5 stars, the middle 3/5, and the ending 4/5. And that's all I feel I can say without spoilers. 🤣
