New favourite book of all time!
(I'm forcing myself to not include my steamy feelings for Rhysand from this review.)I won't forget this book and how it made me feel for a LONG time.
I can honestly say that I haven't had that much fun reading something for a long time. The character development... the romance... the drama!
It also just perfectly showed how trauma effects people if different ways and that its okay for it to take time for you to put yourself back together again and, in the process, become something greater than you already were.

Blazing Minds (92 KP) rated Two Balloons (2017) in Movies
Nov 1, 2021 (Updated Nov 3, 2021)
I found myself being pulled in to the beautiful animation and story, Two Balloons is stop-motion animation at it’s finest, add to that the emotion that the short film produces, the film is one that although it only runs for nine minutes, I ended up watching several times to take in the delights. Mark has certainly written a heart-warming story.
The look of Two Balloons can only be described as delightful and charming, as is the story of these two lemurs find what they are looking for, dare I say that the ending even brought a tear to my eyes, in a lovely way.

Heath Ledger as the Joker.... amazing! Dark, twisted, hilarious, wonderful depth to the character, no one could have done it better. (2 more)
It has everything you want in a movie..drama, suspense, romance, explosions, bank robberies and so much more
Brilliant casting..Christian Bale, Heath Ledger and Morgan Freeman!
Why So Serious Son? Best Joker ever!
I wasn't expecting to like this movie as I'm not really a big Batman/superhero fan. However, I took my son to see it in the theater and was instantly enthralled by Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. The rest is history! I can (and have) watched this over and over again and I can only say that about a handful of movies. Quoting the Joker's lines became a thing in my home for months after we saw it.

I love this app. I didn't realize at first that you could actually use it as more than a book reviewing site. You can add books you have read, books you'd like to read, and books you are currently reading. You can choose the edition of the book you're reading so it keeps an accurate account of how far you've made it through the book. I also really like that it keeps track of the dates you read the book. The app is linked to other social media accounts so you can see what friends are reading or wanting to read and vice versa. Goodreads offers suggestions of what to read next or books that are popular in your favorite genres. Honestly have nothing bad to say about it!

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for a review.
The good thing about anthologies is that if you dont like the story you are reading, you can move on to the next one. Unfortunately, I found myself doing that a lot with this anthology. I requested it because it showcases a culture I am apart of. I go to cons, I read comics books, and play video games. I even have a twitch account where I stream.
But this just wasnt what I was looking for. Out of all the stories, I only enjoyed a couple. I felt that many of the characters and situations were cliché and stereotypical. While I understand that those type of people and situations exist, I felt that each story was a repeat of the others. When I say those people and those situations, I am talking about the anti-social, socially awkward people who are sensitive and easily hurt.
I understand, I get it. Those people need representation, too. But these werent the people I wanted to read about. I wanted to read about the happy, friendly, quirky people you cant help but love. The people who are unapologetic in their love of all things nerdy regardless of what that includes. Most of the protagonists in their stories were fragile and delicate. It seems that every protagonists I read about has been hurt before and is resolved to not love again.
Its an old tired trope. I wish I would have enjoyed it more. I loathe writing negative reviews, but reading this anthology just frustrated me.

I dont know what I was expecting going into this book, but it definitely wasnt to be so impressed. I downloaded this novel on a whim but it was worth it. The reason I dont give it 5 stars is because I wish the author had told us more about the world. Over the course of the novel, she gives us bits and pieces and its our job to put them together. However, I felt there was still much more she could elaborated on. For once, I actually wanted the author to write a couple paragraphs/pages discussing the history.
I cant say I loved the characters, but, despite their faults, I still cared about them. I felt for the female lead even when I thought that the author may be pushing it with all the trails she put her through. I also appreciate the male lead. He seemed a bit slow on the uptake but we cant expect the characters to just do what we know is best for them. Then there wouldnt be a story. The side characters were also interesting. I found myself waiting for any progress on the female lead's sister and her love interest.
Overall, I thought it was a lovely story. I loved the world the author created and cared enough about the characters that I couldnt put the book down until I finished it. I am very excited to read the continuation which features their son.

Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Mannequin - Single by Neena Rose in Music
Jun 17, 2019
Neena Rose is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter based in Hamilton, Canada. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her “Mannequin” single.
“I want people, especially girls, to gain empowerment from my music. I want it to communicate to them: ‘you’re powerful, you’ve got this.’ I want them to know ‘you can be different. You can do anything’.” – Neena Rose
‘Mannequin’ will be featured on Neena Rose’s upcoming EP, entitled, “333”.
The likable tune tells an interesting tale of a young woman who refuses to be a mannequin or porcelain doll to her significant other.
The song contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and lush instrumentation scented with an urban-pop fragrance.
“I love it all, but writing lyrics is definitely my favorite part of the process. It’s always been a thing I love to do. Any time I feel any type of way, I’m writing a song. If I’m happy, I’m writing. If I’m sad, I’m writing. At school, someone will say something or I’ll think of something, and I’ll write it down. I feel like I have a million songs on the go in my notes.” – Neena Rose
