Mothergamer (1536 KP) rated Dragon age : absolution in TV
Dec 19, 2022
I like the cartoon, it was well done but it's rather short with only six episodes. The tie in to Dragon Age Inquisition is cool, but I'm not really happy with what they did with one character from the game, but I do understand it was to move the story along. Overall, it's a fun romp for Dragon Age fans like myself and for as short as it was, the story was actually pretty interesting.
The Craggus (360 KP) rated Kim Possible (2019) in Movies

The live action Kim Possible (2019) ends up more two-dimensional than the animated original
There’s none of the wit of the cartoon in the writing or characterisation and it falls awkwardly between trying to introduce the property to a new audience while honouring the source material. In doing so, it rewrites the origins of several characters, eliminates others and presents a story that undermines its title character in favour of a new one...

The Craggus (360 KP) rated Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (2018) in Movies

Teen Titans Go! To The Movies (2018) slaaaaaaaays. #Review
As a fan of the original Teen Titans animated series, I was deeply sceptical of “Teen Titans Go!” when it first aired. Silly, childish and cutesy, it seemed like Cartoon Network trashing something that had been great. Slowly, though, and thanks to the Cragglings embracing it, I began to enjoy it, especially as it revealed its anarchic, subversively irreverent take on the DC universe...

The Phoenix ruses
Ok so let's start by saying is does not follow the comics and definitely does not follow the cartoon and definitely makes its own time line. Now that's out the way and once I had my head round it been on its own time line it was quite a good film, tells Jean Grey's story to s new generation with a great back story with lots of action. All in all a good effect and we'll delivered.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2165 KP) rated Darkwing Duck Campaign Carnage in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When the mayor of St. Carnard steps down, Darkwing enters the race to take his place. But someone is out to make sure that Darkwing does down. This was another fun entry in the comic book spins off from the 90's cartoon show. Fans will love it while the rest may not appreciate it as much. I'm a fan, so I loved it.

The Craggus (360 KP) rated Mile 22 (2018) in Movies
Sep 19, 2018
You'd have to get up pretty early in the morning to find a more obnoxious film than Mile 22 (2018). #Review
“Mile 22” is a movie every bit as toxically moronic, tone-deaf and self-flagellating as a daily schedule which starts the day at 2:30am for literally no good reason. It’s a hateful, ignorant and needlessly, excessively profane geopolitical cartoon scrawled in crayon on the bathroom stall of cinema; a Neanderthal cave painting, rendered in excrement....

David McK (3369 KP) rated The Mask (1994) in Movies
Sep 23, 2020
"S.. S... Smokin'!"
Mid 90s mix of CGI and live action, that is perfectly suited to it's main star (Jim Carrey, then just coming off his success in Ace Ventura) rubber faced antics, and that also had an acting credit 'introducing Cameron Diaz' in what was her breakout role as Tina Carlyle, the club singer who bored bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) falls for at roughly the same time he discovers the Mask, that transforms him into - basically - a 'real life' Tex Avery cartoon character!

Rodney Barnes (472 KP) rated Young Justice - Season 1 in TV
Mar 5, 2019
Best Cartoon Ever
Contains spoilers, click to show
This is the absolute best animated superhero show I have ever seen. Young Justice has of course a wide array of "sidekicks" that pick up the slack while the Justice League is handling bigger issues. Sometimes they join with the League. Time and Time again the so called sidekicks have shown they can handle the big threats like the Justice League can. Even succeed where the League may have failed. If you love comics and superheroes, and a DC lover....Young Justice (season 1) is for you!
Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Hearts Under Siege in Books
Feb 13, 2018
Started off well but became more unbelievable as the story progressed. It was a pleasant enough read. I wouldn't really class this as Military romance even though this is what I was led to believe. I thought SEIGE was a bit wishy washy and the bad guys could have been overpowered with a 4 yr old brandishing a water pistol (sorry that was a little unfair) The bad guys could have been a bit more badder! ( Is that even a word?!)
