I definitely recommend this book to kids (or young adults) looking for something light and fun to read. 4 out of 5 stars for the creative characters, the relevant themes, and for keeping me interested until the end.

Taryn K (444 KP) rated Yarned and Dangerous (A Tangled Web Mystery) in Books
May 5, 2018
I am a crocheter and a yarn hoarder, so that could be why I didn't quite understand how Josie could consider selling the yarn shop Eb's late wife Cora left behind in favor of going back to the designer who was making her crazy in New York. She was so stifled and couldn't come up with amazing clothing designs until she started going through the inventory with a member of the local knitting group. Yet all through the book, this mental struggle between "It feels so welcoming," and "No, I'm just going to get rid of the inventory and sell it off," just bothered me, which is why it's an 8-star review and not a 9.
The villain is not immediately obvious, which I appreciated, since it's usually obvious by chapter 5 who did it, if not why they did it. I chased a few wild geese before finding out who the culprit was, so I enjoyed that.
It is a good book, as is the second book, and I'm looking forward to book 3 in the series.

Sophia (Bookwyrming Thoughts) (530 KP) rated Forgotten Lyrics (Watersong, #0.5) in Books
Jan 23, 2020
Forgotten Lyrics is a shortstory novel that is based on the first book of the Watersong series, Watersong. It gives a basic history about Daniel and the Sirens from Watersong. No spoilers from that book if you haven't read it yet. But it does have a pretty good plot, even though there were some grammar issues.
Aggie is also introduced here, who was the Siren that Gemma is soon to replace. In my opinion, Aggie seems to be the nice and caring one out of all the Sirens in Watersong To actually risk her own *insert spoiler* (yep, you must read to find out :)). It's sad she's dead later though. :( The way Penn acted just confirms what I'm fearing for Gemma in the future....
Overall, I think it's a good read if you would like more background info on some of the characters from Watersong, specifically Daniel and the real reason of how the Sirens went from 4 to 3. Though like I said earlier... it's not a big book and you'll finish in a few hours, so try to have another book in handy after you read it. ;)

Merissa (12897 KP) rated Omega Stolen (Northern Lodge Pack #1) in Books
Aug 27, 2019
This was a fast-paced book, with no excess of words or scenes. It is very sweet, with the huge BOOM of instant mates. However, for a quick, sassy read, it was absolutely brilliant, and just what I needed. I don't know if I have read an updated version, but there were no editing, spelling, or grammar mistakes that disrupted my reading. Each chapter was titled with who was speaking so there was no confusion there.
A quick, hot, MM Shifter Mpreg book that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *
