Not sure how this became a classic.
My school never required me to read this so I just never got around to it until a few years ago and I have to say I was not a fan. I found the entire book boring the characters terrible or writing wasn't really that great either, for the life of me I really cannot figure out how this book has made it into being a classic and it's still extremely popular. The whole idea of the book is really good but just the execution I found terrible I hated every single freaking character not even over exaggerating there.

I think if I would have been required to read this at a younger age like most people I may have liked it a lot more but reading it as an adult for the first time I feel really just spoil the whole thing for me plus you have to kind of be living under a rock and not to know what the books about and what happens in it.

A classic
Pretty much everyone I know within my similar generation absolutely loves this film, even one me and my brother both agree on, which is unusual.

This is still one of the best and scariest sci-fi horror films I’ve seen since this was originally released. It’s dark, ominous and full of blood and gore. The effects at the time were very good, although admittedly they haven’t aged as well watching it back now and some of the CGI especially looks a bit dodgy. It has a fantastic cast, it’s one of my all time favourite Sam Neill films and you can’t really go wrong with Jason Isaacs and Sean Pertwee either. The plot is fairly straight forward but very creepy, and this will always be the film that spawned the pencil through paper wormhole explanation (sorry Interstellar).

This film isn’t perfect by any means and has sadly not aged as well as it should, but for me it’s still one of my favourites and a true classic sci-fi horror, not far off the likes of Alien etc.

Have you seen Life with Ryan Reynolds? I liked that one too. Or Mandy with Nicolas Cage? That one is a bit out there but I loved it.

I haven't seen either of them and just added them to my want to watch list that I keep on my phone.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Classic comedy from a classic pairing
This never fails to put a smile on my face
Wally (Pryor) hears a murder and smells the murderer whilst working for Dave (Wilder) who saw of the murderer leaving, through a series of misunderstandings they become suspects for the murder, being chased by both the police and the villains this duo must survive, not get arrested and prove their innocence...

Dave is deaf, and owns a magazine stand, Wally is blind and approaches Dave for a job, which is when the mayhem begins. Both actors play their parts brilliantly and you could almost believe they are blind and deaf, even with the slightly non pc subject matter and the fact it is a comedy, you don't feel they are mocking deafness or blindness.

This is strangely not considered as good as their two previous outings, Silver Streak and Stir Crazy but I think it is equally as good if not slightly better

Friend Like Me.
Aladdin- such a classic. I love this movie, its perfect. Why did their have to remake it, last year with Will Smith as the Genie. Why!!! Oh yea cause $$$. Anyways the songs so perect, you have.."Arabian Nights", "One Jump Ahead", "Friend Like Me", "Prince Ali"and "A Whole New World".

The plot: When street rat Aladdin frees a genie from a lamp, he finds his wishes granted. However, he soon finds that the evil has other plans for the lamp -- and for Princess Jasmine. But can Aladdin save Princess Jasmine and his love for her after she sees that he isn't quite what he appears to be?

The film is recognized by American Film Institute in these lists:

2004: AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs:

"Friend Like Me" – Nominated
"A Whole New World" – Nominated

Also you cant forgot about Robin Williams as the Genie. So excellent, so perfect, so funny, so hilarious, so amazing, so wonderful, such a great person.

A classic to all.
