A Very Blessed Christmas Coloring Book by Robin Mead brings scripture into coloring, while allowing me to color in a relaxed quite moment.

The images are a mix of secular and religious, all related to the Christmas season. There are some beautiful Biblical quotes related to the season too, surrounded by artwork to color.

This book has a section for Christmas crafts such as cutouts to make ornaments, bookmarks or even gift tags. I love that this coloring book is unique and is perfect for everyone. It is inspirational, filled with beautiful pictures of angels, snowflakes, trees, stocking, nativity and so much more.

I received this book from FaithWords via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Take a break from the chaos of life and spend hours immersed in the intricacies and the magic of The Time Chamber, a coloring book for adults.

The red haired fairy leaves her time garden to visit our world. She brings with her, a few magical items, which you must find hidden in the pages. Everything she touches is a magical new adventure for her. She explores our world as the little girl sleeps. When the girl awakens, the fairy retreats back to her own world.

I have always enjoyed art. Whether it's painting an original piece, coloring a fuzzy poster, doing a paint-by-number or doodling in my son's coloring book, I find relaxation in expressing myself through my artwork. So when I discovered coloring books for adults, I did a happy dance. I have spent hours coloring in The Time Chamber. The detail is incredible and the artwork intricate. I also found the story line enchanting. Although, I did find a few inconsistencies with the patterns that my O.C.D. did not like, I was able to overlook them and enjoy my time. Overall, this is a very charming book and I absolutely love taking time out of the day to relax and color.

I received a free copy of The Time Chamber from Penguin Random House Publishing through Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.

I LOVE Christmas! And I LOVE coloring books! What better way to celebrate the season than by coloring a Christmas book? Beginning on December 1 this devotion will carry you through Christmas to New Year's Eve. Each devotion is only one page long and the opposite page is a full picture to color in. The perfect way to relax and express creativity while keeping Christ at the focus of Christmas. Filled with beautiful pictures of angels, nativity scenes, stars, winter, scripture, and patterns. At the end of the book there are Family Activities. Verses and conversation starters and prayer, to discuss Christmas as a family and keep or sights on Jesus in the middle of a busy season. Extra coloring pages are included at the end of the book as well. A beautiful way to bring the story of Christmas into our daily routine. If you enjoy coloring books, this is the perfect one to begin your holidays.

I received a free copy of All is Bright from Tyndale Publishers. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Amish Quilts Coloring Book

I had so much fun creating my own Amish "quilt" through coloring. I think this is as close to making a real quilt as I will ever get. Sewing and I don't get along so well. Which is why this book is perfect for me! The patterns and details satisfy my OCD side, while my imagination with color satisfies the creativity. Some of the spaces are quite tiny, but it worked well for me. I use colored pencils and have a great sharpener on hand at all times. Coloring is such a great outlet for relaxing. I like to put music on (usually Lindsey Stirling) and let my inner artist emerge and let my personality bleed onto the page. At the top of each page is an Amish Proverb. The one on the page I colored has been so good for me this week. We have had a rough week here, but miracles have been in the making nonetheless!
"Difficulty is the first stage of a miracle."
~Amish Proverb

Overall, this book is a great idea! A wonderful way to bring to life a piece of the culture that we love to read about.

I received two pages from this coloring book to color for free through Celebrate Lit for this Blog Tour in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Continuing with the dream style story and beautiful pages, this book is sure to keep me occupied for hours. Coloring has becoming a peaceful and quiet outlet for me over the past year or so. Expressing creativity on paper through color is one of my favorite things to do. If you have not experienced the joy of putting your pencil to page, Daria's series is an excellent place to start. I enjoy the intricate detail of her work. I have always had an obsession with stars and Daria's stars have a very unique personality which I love. Color and Meaning: Practice and Theory in Renaissance Painting

Book Favorite

"This is almost a how-to book on looking at and thinking about color methods, as it was employed in the Renaissance. She uncovered information for me that I had always suspected existed. There were four basic modes of coloring: Sfumato, Chiaroscuro (both are more commonly discussed), but the other two, Unione and Cangiantisimo, were not known to me until picking this us. I have a copy with me every time I paint."

There is also Connect the dots activities in the book. There are many different activities for children from ages toddlers to kindergarten to maybe even elementary school.

I do not know if the contributor had this in mind when they release this, what good timing to have this release around when a pandemic has made us have to social distance. I know the Coronavirus did not make this to happen as it did. No one saw it coming well mostly us citizens.

With schools closed and kids home with their family. This looks to be a good time to get your young children and toddlers to color and learn at the same time. This is no different than before only know it just seems like it a good to have. Parents that home school or even do not but have to do so now. This is a way to have your little one be entrained and learn will teaching your other children as well.

Coloring Can Be Profitable…and Deadly
The Georgetown bookstore Florrie Fox manages has added a weekly coloring group, and Florrie has enjoyed getting to know the regulars. One of them, Dolly Cavanaugh, also enjoys bargain hunting at estate sales, and one week she comes in excited about her latest find, a copy of The Florist, a rare adult coloring book from the 1700's. However, later that night, Florrie finds Dolly dead with a corner of a piece of paper in her hand. That's all that can be found of book Dolly just bought. As secrets begin to come to light, Florrie is left to wonder how well she really knew Dolly. Was the book the motive for Dolly's murder? Or did a secret from her past catch up with her?

I was charmed by the first in the series, and I enjoyed this one just as much. The setting may be a neighborhood in the Washington DC area, but by sticking to the neighborhood, it still feels like a traditional cozy setting. And what a setting! I'd love to spend hours browsing in this bookstore. Florrie is a great lead character, and she heads up a cast of equally fun characters. It's hard to picture most of them as killers, in fact. The plot is filled with twists and complications. I began to suspect a few things, but I still had huge gaps I hadn’t figured out before I got to the end. I do feel the ending was a bit rushed, and a few things got glossed over as a result, but that's my only issue with the book. As with the first, the cover can be colored, and there are five recipes at the end.

Oh my goodness the illustrations are so freaking beautiful in this coloring book! I am so glad they finally released it because I don't know how long I could have waited to get my hands on it!

I am currently in the middle of coloring the pages, some of them are very intricate and I want to take my time on it! The coolest part of this is that it has the passages where the image comes from on the opposite page, so if there are any character descriptions you may want to follow, they are right there!! You don't have to go and look them up in your books!

I never really realized how relaxing it is to just sit down and color. I spent like three hours on one of the pages and I didn't even realize it until I was done and the sun had gone down!!
