This is a brilliant free daily podcast. Basically comedian Jonesy reads out three daily news stories that walk on the weird side and gives his own narrative as if he's in a conversation with you the listener. He's a very clever comedian, it's unscripted and performed in a very natural way and has me laughing out loud every single day because of it. Not only is it interesting hearing strange goings on but you do end up laughing out loud in the middle of the street. Jonsey is not afraid to go anywhere and really pushes the boundaries and is garunteed to cheer you up and deserves a lot more recognition.

Early tom hanks
I like this movie .alot of people forget tom hanks was a comedian and i dont think theres been a movie that he is in since hes been funnier.and all the comedians wish they could do what he did.drop the comedy and make it big as a serious actor.many have tried.love it ranchy funny

We all have our favorite Adam Sandler movies. There are the fans of The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates and there’s the loyal camp who can quote Happy Gilmore or Big Daddy verbatim. You hear the name Adam Sandler’s and you think goofy, lovable guy. Dependably funny and quotable, from the mid-90’s on, he was the go-to comedian when we looked for an easy laugh. Of late, with the growing list of popular movies under his belt, when you think goofy, lovable funny guy, another name comes up: Seth Rogan. In “Funny People” you get them both.
Sandler plays George Simmons, a popular comedian who’s diagnosed with a fatal disease. Playing a comedian is hardly a stretch for Sandler, but for one whose dramatic turns can be counted on one hand, he plays the stricken man who’s suddenly face to face with his immortality quite convincingly. Rogan is Ira Wright, a desperate young comic who’s still vying for stage time at the local comedy club. George, perhaps recognizing a bit of himself or seeing a glimmer of comedic genius in Ira after catching his act, hires Ira to write for him.
Ira goes from writer and personal assistant/confidante to opening act as he helps George deal with his illness. He encourages the veteran comedian to reconnect with his compatriots in the business, opening the film to a parade of old faces from the stand-up circuit. George’s reflections on his life eventually lead him back to a lost love, Laura, played by Leslie Mann. Amidst the funny, laugh-out-loud scenes, are some believably tender moments, not just between Mann and Sandler but also, oddly enough, Sandler and Rogan.
Directing the comedic duo is writer/director Judd Apatow, who gave Rogan that growing list of successful movies after first casting him in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Sandler could certainly use some of Apatow’s Midas-like touch after his recent string of marginal films. With a strong supporting cast of Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman who play Ira’s roommates Leo and Mark and Eric Bana, Laura’s husband, the movie is in turns hilarious and puzzling. The strong storyline of a veteran comedian taking a novice comic under his wings gets lost when George pursues a second chance with an unhappily married Laura. What could’ve been a touching passing of the torch tale is confused by an annoying love triangle. When the movie returns its focus to George and Ira, it’s saved, just barely, by the fact that we’re still watching two of comedy’s goofy, lovable funny guys.

Just watched at my local was rather good two hours exciting adventure with dwayne Johnson I liked it alot kept me entertained dwayne Johnson always brilliant and so emily blunt but I was surprised by Jack Whitehall who was rather good for a comedian I wouldn't have thought Jack Whitehall could pull it off but he does overall good movie bit on the long side but still worth the watch

Gripping remake lets it's Scandi roots show.

A truly excellent thriller, this U.S. remake of a Norwegian film retains the feel of it's Scandinavian genesis.
Tense, twitchy and enthralling with fantastic performances, potent settings, and a great script and direction.
Pacino plays an L.A. cop hiding from his own guilt while investigating the death of a girl in Alaska.
Robin Williams is chillingly convincing as the manipulative bad man, proving yet again that he was a masterful actor as well as a gifted comedian.
Tense, twitchy and enthralling with fantastic performances, potent settings, and a great script and direction.

Hosted by Irish comedian, Jason Byrne, this new gameshow brings the fun back to the streets. The gameshow, based on an original Spanish format, challenges people to bring back the answer to a question, but not to say it, in return for Jason's cash prizes. Filmed across the UK including - Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Weston-Super-Mare and Whitby - each unpredictable episode will see Jason pitch up in search of willing participants who, in turn, go off in search of items that are the answer to Jason's questions.

The plots can get confusing
After four episodes I can definitely say this season is better than the previous two seasons and after tonights episode best episode of this season for starters making the weeping angels scary again and the cliff hanger wow. What surprised me the this season is the edition of John Bishop as a companion I'm used to being a comedian but so far acting wise he been good overall doctor who is getting after two average seasons

Mix of comedy and science
This podcast, presented by Prof Brian Cox (he of the lovely hair and "isn't everything brilliant" attitude) teams up with angry comedian Robin Ince to present this BBC Radio 4 science podcast looking at the scientific discussions of the day, with guests representing differing viewpoints. Brian's engaging, accessible descriptions of the science involved meet Robin's layman's understanding (though I think he has a better understanding of things than he lets on) and deliver a good, understandable debate on why things matter and why we should be more interested in science.

Comedian's nervous breakdown is like watching a train wreck
An intriguing look into bereavement and trauma in the guise of an unravelling comic. Set on a stage, the comedian performs an intimate act in the presence of a former student and colleague. It is a gritty, disturbing and excruciating read to see how he undoes himself in the space of one night. It is also revealing how little sympathy and empathy he receives. It is a well structured piece of literary fiction, moving back and forth through past and present narratives. Well deserved of a Man Booker Prize nomination.
