Guess who?
Murder mystery is exactly that, a murder mystery. Sandler and Aniston co star in this comedy as a police officer who can't seem to pass his detectives exam and his wife, a hairdresser in need of a break. The couple go on a long awaited retreat but are offered a cruise ride by a rich stranger in place of a tour bus.
After accepting and meeting the other passengers on board, thing's quickly go south when one of them is murdered (see where this is going?) The jokes come in nicely and the couple's banter is fun.
This is the best I've seen Sandler since the ridiculous 6 and Aniston since the bounty hunter.

Lenard (726 KP) rated John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019) in Movies

John Wick is an existential comedy about a man lost in a battle between the woman he loves and the work he can't leave behind. He transverses a desert landscape that signifies the loneliness he feels inside over abandoning his love. A mysterious stranger sings Roy Orbison while trapezist circle his head. Just kidding, John Wick gets a $14 millions bounty after an unauthorized murder. Every one is out to get him and his friends are given days to reprove their honor. The movie is nonstop action and acidic threats. Given how many time I have had to rethink the film, I realize while it had its small flaws, it is the best possible version of itself--hence the 10 bomb rating.

I don’t understand why people love this
There are some films that are heralded as special within film culture, most of these are deserved but this film is not deserving of the love shown.
Jim Carey is beyond abysmal in this movie, from his vocal delivery to his odd facial expressions, there is no saving grace from him in the movie.
An interesting premise but unfortunately something that could be groundbreaking becomes derived and pointless.
I’m sad I can’t enjoy this movie but unfortunately unless this movie is remade the Truman Show needs to be axed and visit Room 101 for crimes against good films.

Stands the test of time
I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.
It's hard to describe a movie like Rocky Horror. A musical, sci-fi, horror, comedy?!? Well yes, but that doesn't do it justice. It is an experience..... no, I mean it. Ask the thousands of fans who still flock to midnight showings, dressed up as their favorite characters, ready to do the time warp again. So why to we enjoy this adventure of Brad Majors and his fiancee Janet Weis? Because! We don't need to explain ourselves to you. So, come up to the lab, and see what's on the slab. I see you shiver with antici............ pation

I've delayed writing this because I am still trying to fully process this film.
The film was a bizarre, enjoyable fever dream. Who was gaslighting who? Who was actually the reliable narrator? The mythology used in the film was so fitting, down to the fate of the characters. I loved that the film was in black and white, and not in widescreen format.
Robert Pattinson was terrific in this, and always proves that he can actually act. Willem Dafoe's character was one of those slightly annoying but kind of likeable dudes.
I think the best part of seeing this film, is that I'm still trying to process it. Was this a black comedy? A horror film? It's definitely all up for debate.

Slapdash but good-natured horror-comedy works hard enough to justify its existence. The movie closes with Woody Harrelson treating the audience to a full-throated rendition of Hunka Hunka Burning Love, which summarises the movie quite well: it's enthusiastic, not awful, and fairly entertaining, but you do wonder what the point of it is.
An indeterminate number of years after the first film (the subject of one of many hand-waves), the characters embark on another roadtrip across zombie-infested America. The plot is episodic and somewhat disjointed, but strong performances from the quartet and a frequently inventive script keep things barrelling along. It's silly and knowing and not really very scary, but it passes the time amiably enough.

Finally a film about the struggles of modern families.
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

Love this film, so funny and entertaining however it makes me cringe so much at some points which put me off giving it a higher rating. When people are competing the way they are and sabotaging eachother, to an extent it is funny but I think this movie goes a bit too far for my liking.
Mark Wahlberg is just so sexy in this, if you watch something like Ted where he's quite an everyday looking guy but in this he's just oozes sexy.
Ladies, he has a topless scene. You're welcome.

Another bleak British belter
British cinema tends to be a)about working class people and b) be very miserable. I had a group of American friends staying over and shared with then a selection of British films. They all admitted to feeling suicidal at the end of it.
Some people will watch Funny Cow and expect a rip roaring comedy about a female stand up comedian. That it is not. This is the story of a working class rebel fighting domestic violence and oppression by seeing the funny side. It is brave and probably be very misunderstood by most. For me it was a poignant reminder of the fight some people have to be heard. A brave and strong film.

Almost
One if those frustrating movies that us almost very special but doesn't quite get there. Does it want to be a gross out comedy, a teen coming of age or an indie Anericana deep thinking poignant drama. It tries to be all three and loses some of it's identity.
I think although it was trying to be mature it's audience is the late teens. I should have loved this film, I normally love this genre but my attention kept wandering. Everytime it tried to be poignant or sentimental it suddenly had to good out not allowing it's true meaning to come through. It could have been so much better but just failed to hit the mark.

Fun whodunit?
A fun quirky Whodunit? with a big cast and dash of humour, along with some red herrings. Make this an enjoyable film for those who like a murder mystery.
It was a little light on the humour side overall, so not as much of a comedy as I thought it would be. As for the Whodunit side of things the family members all have their motives but from quite early on there isn't a great deal of mystery in the plot. It finishes strongly thankfully with a typical drawing room summing up.
Overall a fun film for fans of the genre without really testing the grey cells of many sleuth viewers.
