The Wasp Nest is a complicated scheme for what you learn from this. There is a professional assassin out the kill a few targets. We also meet some new friends along the way. Again who is Loki? What does Rendition want?

We are back in the United States with Bianca. Her friends show up in a few days laters. Things go from okay to creepy. This book really gave me the creeps and still was good. I enjoyed it none the less but think you can not be creepy out by how it goes.

I am still trying to figure out who Loki is and what exactly Rendition wants her to do. She seems to get the help she needs from this computer person who is named Loki. I will tell you there are lots of deaths. I believe we will see more in the coming books for they seem to all running though Roma Underground.

We find out more about Sergeant and Nasonia Pharmaceutical. I do not want to give away much here for it really bring to life and what this book is about. The author did have me confused, but I also enjoy the story along they way. How is Garnero and Farugia past involved in this all of this. We meet a few new characters and find new friends. There seem to be connection and something else also know as corruptions.

Murder Hits too Close to Home
Daisy Thorne is closing up her hair salon in the small British village of Edgemead one Saturday when she finds the dead body of one of her clients in the alley behind the shop. Worse yet, Daisy’s scissors are sticking out of the victim’s back. Naturally, suspicion falls on her, so Daisy has to figure out what really happened so she can clear her name. The big question comes down to who had access to steal Daisy’s scissors. Can she figure out who did it?

I enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was looking forward to revisiting the characters. I’m happy to say I found this one just as engaging. Because the action focuses on the salon this time, we get to know her employees better, and I really enjoyed that. The rest of the cast is back, and the suspects are strong. I also appreciated the fact that it is obvious the characters’ lives were progressing between books, a fun change from most series I read. I’m not sure if it was just me, but I did feel like the pacing was a little slow early on, but once the plot really got going, there were more than enough twists and surprises to make up for that. The climax was wonderful and kept those twists coming. If you enjoy a cozy set in England, you need to check out this series.

Heartless Killer at Valentine’s Day
It’s two weeks before Valentine’s Day, and love is definitely in the air. Not only is Rory’s relationship with Detective Martin Green going well, but Rory is a bridesmaid in the Valentine’s Day wedding of her friends Solange and Xander. Everything seems to be going well until one of the bridesmaids is murdered and the evidence points to Xander. Rory doesn’t believe the groom is a killer, but can she figure out what is really going on?

It’s been a few years since the last book in the series came out, but it wasn’t long before I was back in Aurora’s world. If you haven’t started the series yet, you can jump in here, but fans will be thrilled to get an update on the characters. The plot seems to wander a bit at the beginning, but by the time it ends, everything weaves into the story. I was impressed with how the secrets kept coming out, continually making me wonder exactly what was going on. I also love the setting – if it were real, I’d definitely want to visit. Fans new and old will be glad to see a new entry in this series.

380. Fractured. The makers of this film finally figured out how to make a good Sam Worthington movie. Have him walk around totally confused due to a head injury for 95% of the movie! On the way back from the in-laws the Monroe family stop at small convenience store, and as they get ready to leave, daughter Peri is confronted by a mean ol junkyard dog, and when dad, Ray tries to help, well doesn't go so great. Father and daughter go tumbling down into what looks like a rather unsafe construction site. Ray whacks is head pretty hard, daughter Peri, appears to have more serious injuries. Mom, Joanne, coming from the restroom we assume, comes to help, they all pack in the car and off to the hospital they go. As the docs go to take Peri to go get checked out, only one more person can go with, so mom heads off with her. And that's the last time Ray see's them. He dozes off in the waiting room, to see the sun setting, wakes startled heads to the check in and asks about his daughter. Who? The hospital staff seem to remember Ray coming in alone, for a head injury. What? Let the paranoia begin! Directed by Brad Anderson, who also directed one of my fave movies Session 9, did a great job keeping Ray looking confused and with reason the entire movie, Sam Worthington's strong point, lol. I say go for it, fast paced, paranoia thriller... Filmbufftim on FB
