After the first like half an hour - hour it just becomes boring. (0 more)
Such a shame.
Some bits are properly funny, but after a while it becomes stale, found myself reaching for my phone to have something to do.
It's annoying though because the premise is fantastic, it's about being confident in your body, don't care what anyone else thinks. It's just a shame towards the end I'm nearly asleep.

Wow. Ms. Lopez is a true inspiration! Everyone who has ever worked in education could learn something from her. Her drive alone is out of this world. There were so many great take aways in this book. It really gives an affirmation to what we as teachers do every day & a reminder that it isn't easy but it is so worth it.

Reasonable feel good comedy
The trailer for this looked ok so I thought I'd check it out. Quite similar to Shallow Hal in many respects as a curvy girl gets a knock to the head and suddenly thinks she looks like a super model. While not hilarious there are a few laughs along the way. I think the critic's missed the point that confidence is attractive and people should worry less about looking like a photoshop model.

As a plus-sized girl, I appreciated that this movie had more body-positivity than I was expecting and that it wasn't full of self-deprecating fat jokes.
