Any regular reader of Board Game Quest probably knows by now my love for cooperative board games. Much likes playing the game of Craps in the casino, it’s a lot of fun to have a group of people working together towards a common goal. You win together, you lose together. Thus, enter the newest cooperative board game to get reviewed here: Space Alert.
It also has the honor of being, spoiler alert, my absolute favorite cooperative board game on the market today. Space Alertcombines chaotic real time game mechanics with cooperative game play for what amounts to a really fun experience.

Cooperative with a good theme drawn from literature. A good amount of replay available. The game dynamics are easy to follow as well.

Fantastic Cooperative game
This game is a cooperative game until the haunt is revealed, where someone can potentially be a traitor. The traitor doesnt even know if they are the traitor until the haunt. This game has tons of different scenarios and the board is built out differently each game as well, based on where players explore. This means each play through is unique, which i enjoy. This game is not super complex, but the variability of it makes it fun

Good introduction to cooperative play (1 more)
Simple
Forbidden Island does a great job of introducing players to cooperative play. If you have played Pandemic before, you probably don't need to purchase this game. If you have not, I would highly recommend purchasing to give you and your friends a great introduction to the basic mechanics. It would also be a great way to ease kids into more complicated game mechanics.
Also, it comes in a metal tin, which I wish more companies would do. While more of my cardboard boxes aren't holding up well, this one still looks great.

Thunderbirds are go!
Thunderbirds is a great cooperative game that has elements of Pandemic and X-Com.
Players take on the role of international rescue and work to prevent disaters occuring around the world (and in space) Meanwhile the Hood works to sabotage the players.
Players move vehicles and character's around the board to bring the right equipment into play and then try to resolve the disasters with a dice role.
There are sevral difficulty levels and the expaniosns work well together.
