Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2492 KP) rated 2nd Chance (Women's Murder Club, #2) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The women of the Women's Murder Club must come together when seemingly random killings begin to show the target is policemen and their families. There were a couple of plot points that seemed a bit cliche, but I really did enjoy this book.

Sean Farrell (9 KP) rated Reconstructing Amelia in Books
Mar 15, 2018
A mix of clichés from a couple different genres that still somehow manages to be highly engaging. It's unlikely it will ever be considered a classic, but it will certainly make for a great summer beach read. I can't say I had the ending figured out either, which is good for any mystery. Be forewarned that it is a bit of a downer.
Sean Farrell (9 KP) rated Zombie in Books
Mar 15, 2018
Started off kind of with mixed feelings. I was somewhat drawn into the story, but found the author's use of "young-sounding" words to be a bit forced. After the first couple chapters however I was either so hooked I was able to ignore that, or he stopped doing it. Either way, wound up being a dark but enjoyable little book.
Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Killing Honor (Lucky Thirteen, #1) in Books

An enjoyable read about Devyn and Brody, childhood sweethearts that married young. Started a family and then Brody was deployed and was gone for 2 years leaving Devyn to raise twins girls alone. When Brody finally returns the couple struggle to go back to how they used to be but Brody's mission isn't over and now all his families lives are in danger.

This was a very entertaining and fast read. It kept me entertained and I read it in just a couple days. I found that I could related to the characters. I did find myself a little annoyed by some of the actions that Yelena did but all in all it was a good book.
I will definitely continue on to the next book.

AT (1676 KP) rated Attack on Titan No Regrets Vol. 2 (Final) in Books
Nov 9, 2018
This is the second and last book of Attack on Titan No Regrets. The two books are about Levi and Erwin, and how Levi came to join the Survey Corps. Book 2 ends as Levi becomes the Levi that we know from the original series. The author also adds a couple of side stories, which are an extra bit of fun.
Erika (17789 KP) rated Sons of Anarchy - Season 1 in TV
Nov 10, 2018
I began watching this show with zero expectations. It's not typically a show I would watch, but it did hook me within the first couple episodes. The one negative complaint I have is the completely boring character of Tara. I think Hunnam does a good job as Jax, and I love Ron Perlman in everything, so those were two high points.
Lizzi Lewins (73 KP) rated The Walking Dead - A TellTale Games Series: Season 1 in Video Games
Jan 9, 2019
Really enjoyed this game from the start. The story is immersive and whilst there were a couple of characters I didn't care for, I found myself really drawn into each individual persons story. I live that each decision effects the rest of the game and because of that this is a game I will go back to a good few times.
