2 Stars. This is another of those craft books that are stuck in the 80's. Great instructions but let down by the boring black and white dated photos. If your going to re-release a book the do it properly and bring it upto date.
Disappointing.

Writer/ Director Matthew Holness knows exactly which strings to pull in chilling puppet horror Possum (2018) #Review
Nerve-shreddingly tense, atmospheric and exquisitely crafted, “Possum” is an artisanal horror movie, the craft of both cast and crew shining through in every detail.

"A simple but magnificent proof of genius. A first novel by a 25-year-old with absolute command of his craft, uncanny knowledge of his world, its past and present, and a daring originality which makes its last pages among the most startlingly moving I know."

Make In A Day Paper Flowers by Amanda Evanston Freund was a great example of this type of craft book. It was packed out with different flower designs so you would certainly get you moneys worth from this edition. It had easy to follow instructions alongside the list of supplies each flower would need and vibrant pictures of the finished product. This came along at a good time as it was half term and the kids were happy to join in and were super proud of the flowers they had made. If you are into this kind of craft, you cant go wrong with this book.

While his inspirations for the film are evident, Jordan Peele was able to craft a film that feels original. The story bends, twists, and turns, but you never get the impression that it doesn't know where it's going.

Spaced on the big screen
In principle, I really don't like comedies. Yes, there are examples of the genre out there that I like, don't get me wrong. But generally-speaking I just don't dig them. I won't go into my anti-comedy rant in great detail here, but I think that one of the main reasons for it is that I love the craft of filmmaking and most comedies are severely lacking in any kind of interesting creative decision that make me appreciate a filmmaker's craft. Now Edgar Wright, there's a director who knows his craft, and it is very much evident in Shaun of the Dead. It is very slickly shot and edited, brilliantly-paced, pitch-perfect in tone and yes - it's funny! There aren't many comedy-horror movies that work, but this one really does. Also, I am a huge fan of Spaced, which is up there in my top 5 tv shows of all time, and this film is very much a spiritual successor to the show.

Role-Playing
Before playing, we felt ready to say goodbye to the series, looking forward to whatever From Software gave us next. Yet after finishing, it's hard not wanting more. Few companies can craft a world so completely enthralling.

Stumbled across this after seeing a trailer. An ok teenaged aimed film which is a bit of of a mix of The Craft, The Lost Boys from the producers of the Underworld, it shows. It has some cool SFX and a thumping soundtrack. Pure popcorn fun to switch your brain in to auto pilot for!
