'The as-yet-to-be-released Avenger: Endgame was released a few years ago now!

<original review below>

The first female- led Marvel movie, released between the events of Infinity War and the as-yet-to-be-released Avengers:Endgame, this introduces us to the character that Nick Fury was paging just before he dusted at the very end (after credits) of Infinity War.

ThIs is set during the 90s, and has Brie Larson's Carol Danvers rediscovering her identity (I'll admit, I was a bit confused what was going on during the start of it) alongside Samuel L Jacksons Nick Fury, who is given more to do here than in any other Marvel movie to date (including Winter Soldier).

I will admit to thinking that, by the end of the movie, Captain Marvel is just a tad overpowered: effectively, the Marvel equivalent of Superman

Very entertaining and funny (5 more)
The title Characters have great chemistry
The villain is once again relateable
Nods to possible future plans particularly with Scott Lang's daughter. If u read the comics and saw this movie u know that they set her up so hard to be what she is in the comics and u never know a what the future may hold
Luis kills it again with his comic relief and so does his pals
Stick around for the credits scenes like with all other marvel movies
Not very necessary to and in the MCU but brings up some things that may be important to the universe moving forward especially with avengers 4 on the horizon (2 more)
The side villain wasn't very great but not bad
It's a true sequel nothing else to say
Not necessary but fun movie

Ok so elephant in the room this movie didn't have to happen and I wouldve been fine either way but I enjoyed it nonetheless and it was a very fun movie especially after the movie we had before it and it was like a tissue we needed. And also this takes place during the event that was infinity war so take note of that.

Almost everyone is great in this movie with the exception of The side villain...he wasn't great but wasn't terrible as long as the guy who's playing hims last name is not Grace I'm fine.

Also while it's not necessary in the universe but it brings up points about future possibilities of the universe going forward especially with avengers 4 coming next year and yeah this movie does not impact the universe in any major way except for the credits scene.

Overall I had fun with it. do u need to watch it to get ready for avengers 4?
that's up to you, but it's a great movie either way

The MCU delivers again!
Tom Holland reprises his role as the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman in this enjoyable final entry in the MCU's third phase.

Picking up where Avengers: Endgame left off, the world is slowly getting back on its feet after Thanos' handiwork was reversed. Peter Parker is on a school trip across Europe when huge Elemental enemies attack. He's unprepared, but the day is saved by Mysterio - a superhero from an alternate universe.

So far, so Marvel.

Twists and turns follow, with plenty of action throughout. The storyline reminded me of Iron Man 3 in some ways, in terms of it's structure and style. The visuals were impressive as always. The acting was spot-on, with Happy returning in a comic relief/mentor role that worked really well alongside the hero.

The great thing about all the Marvel movies is how they distinguish themselves from each other. Aside from being just comic book movies, each individual series has its own themes and genre. Guardians of the Galaxy is sci-fi/action/comedy, Captain America is more political/action, Thor is fantasy, etc... Spiderman fills the gap for a teen drama, appealing to the younger audience by giving them the angst and romance they crave and relate to. The relationship between Peter and MJ is explored in greater detail here, and their on-screen awkward is fun to watch, but also believable - largely, I suspect, due to the pair's off-screen friendship. Their chemistry is brilliant and really adds to the movie.

As with all Marvel movies, it ain't over 'til it's over. The mid-credits scene does a truly fantastic job of setting up the third movie in the series, while the post-credits scene teases at the future of the wider MCU.

Marvel has had numerous hits with only a small handful of near-misses. Spiderman: Far From Home is a resounding hit and not to be missed!

A reimagination of Super-Man you diddnt know you needed

I am shocked by how many bad reviews this masterpiece has on here! The story, the filming, and the acting is outstanding. I love the idea of what if Super-Man was in the horror/suspenseful thriller instead of superhero/action. The comparison between the two stories is so good but it's still just different enough not to be dismissed as a bad rip off. A married couple on a farm finds a baby in a spaceship. Baby grows up and has superpowers. Now, this is where it gets different, the child develops psychopath type tendencies. Collecting pictures of organs, stalking, obsessing over guns, and excessive knowledge of animals.

This cast guys is so good and so right for this story. Elizabeth Banks and David Denman are a sweet convincing couple and bring the emotion and realities of if this happened. Elizabeths take on how a mother would respond to her child being a psychopathic killer is so raw and realistic. Throughout the movie, she reacts as if she knows but doesn't want to accept it and of course that's how a mother would react, mother knows Best but mother also protects. David Denmans take on a protective husband and suspicious father is so unique in storytelling. I mean of course he's going to let his sterile wife keep the baby from the woods but that's not his baby he don't know where that thing came from, but it makes his wife happy. Last but not least Jackson A. Dunn is bound to rise in stardom after his stellar performance.

Also, I usually don't like spoiling but watch the credits please cause it sets up a possible sequel and universe. Micheal Rooker pops up mid-credits as like a crazy youtube theorist guy. He starts going off about superpower being sightings and how they are out there killing people and terrorizing the world. It even shows a line up of potential super-powered horror villains for possible movies.

If you are going to see one movie this summer, make it this one. When you going to the theater do not be late, because the first 6 minutes of this movie are flat out fast paced and amazing. After the opening credits nothing slows down.

The best part of this movie though is how they incorporate the music into the movie. Every time Baby is on the screen and wear his headphones, we not only hear the music in his head but we can feel the way it plays into the scene. Because of the ringing in his ears he needs the music to balance himself out and stay focused. This plays a big part towards the end of the movie.

This movie from front to back is nonstop and has an interesting story to follow. Every person should go see this movie, then own it.

At this point Marvel can really do no wrong. When it comes to their movies (esp original ones) they have a formula that's worked well so far so why change it. Really we've not had a bad MCU movie since iron man 3 & thor 2 and even they were watchable and in parts mildly enjoyable. Here we have excellent action with just enough comedy to give people laughs without being silly and considering this is about shape changing aliens, silly was a possibility. But theres a good story at its core and nice character development with a few twists and turns to keep everyone interested. We also get Goose - the greatest space cat since Jonesy from Alien!!...2 good post credits scenes as per normal - 1 serious story one and 1 funny but worth sticking around for. The next month or so needs to fly past.

French enfant terrible Gaspar Noe returns with a very dark take on the insanity of a mass casualty event. Early we are introduced to the members of a dance troupe after the closing credits play across a snowy exterior. We learn of their drug and sex experience and how far they would be willing to go for famr. We also see many books and movirs surrounding the footage, like Suspiria and Le Chien Andalou. Slowly we then descend into an Exterminating Angel like scenario where everyone is trapped in the dressing rooms while the madness deepens. People are fried literally and figuratively tobthe point of no return. Who poisoned the well and what happened that night is left up to the viewer. If a lot of people die and no one was there to report the facts, why not wildly speculate and make the night an exploration of the limits of humam depravity.

2019 | Biography, Crime, Thriller
I've been looking forward to this one since it was announced. While I know the story is being told from Liz's perspective, I have to admit I found it strange that we didn't get to see any of the murders being committed by one of the most famous serial killers of all time. It's an interesting take on a story most people already know.

Zac Efron was excellent, as was the rest of the cast (Jim Parsons can do no wrong), but the movie does drag just a bit, and I feel like some of Efron's talent is wasted here. They definitely could have done more with him. That said, he was the perfect mix of creepy and charming, and when they show the actual Bundy footage during the end credits, you realize how close Efron's performance comes to the actual man.

Overall I thought it was good, but could maybe have been better.

Oh, and also? I'll never be mad at Zac Efron's....backside. ?

Stranger things this aint
Stranger Things is great and its brought a resurgence of the 80s style kids adventure films. Unfortunately for every Stranger Things & Scouts Guide to the apocalypse theres also one of these disasters...starts abruptly in space where the space station is attacked by a massive spaceship. Then it starts to introduce the stereotypical kids who all end up going to the same summer camp just as aliens attack Earth. The script is shoddy and the acting is pretty poor. It feels like a poor after school daytime TV movie - the fate of the Earth lies in these 4 kids hands blah blah. The aliens are pretty generic and unscary and it all leads to a pointless climax and ridiculous credits scenes. I was hoping for some mindless fun - i got half!!!

Excellent way to enjoy books!
I've been using the Audible app for a little over 5 years now and I absolutely love it. It's equally easy to use on iPad and Android devices. The quality of the audiobooks available can't be beat, and the interface is incredibly easy to use. I would absolutely recommend the app to anyone who enjoys listening to audio books.

The one major downside of Audible is the subscription / credit system used to purchase the books. Books can be purchased outright or purchased through a monthly subscription system. I personally use the subscription that gives me 1 credit per month for $14/month. It can be expensive, but it's worth it if you enjoy listening to books while in the car or on the go. It's also a great way to multi-task. I love listening to books while I work on projects that keep my hands busy.
