Definitely Worth the Read
Definitely worth the read, I enjoyed the style of writing and the characters were very engaging. I haven't read a Halo book yet that has disappointed so I have high hopes for the next one on my list. What I liked about this one was that it wasn't just solely about combat it actually had an element of mystery and crime to it which made it interesting. I felt the reveal of the criminal was anticlimactic which was a little disappointing for me but I enjoyed the ending none the less. It was an enjoyable read, I'd recommend it to sci-fi readers and crime fic readers alike.

"Paul Verhoeven’s masterstroke, and one of society’s ultimate post-human lores—a cyborg cop in search of the criminal who ended his emotional existence . . . or did he? Forget that it’s one of the best cyborg-related films ever (second only to T2)—it would make my list on the strength of its satirical depiction of American TV news. It’s a classic"

"When I first saw Mona Lisa, I had no idea who Bob Hoskins was (I was eight). I honestly thought they paid some low-rent criminal money to be in this movie. He was so believable that when I saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I was like “Hey, that guy really turned his life around. This movie is huge. Good for him.”"

Edgar Wright's high-energy jukebox thriller may be your last chance to see Kevin Spacey in a new movie. Brilliant young music-loving hearing-impaired getaway driver ends up in hock to criminal mastermind; must decide whether to run for it with his lovely new girlfriend or carry out one last job with some rather suspect associates.

Slightly retro crime thriller with a central gimmick - action sequences are frequently choreographed to the soundtrack - that isn't quite as innovative as it thinks it is. As technically proficient as you would expect from Wright; what's unusual is that the film has a degree of heart you wouldn't expect, not to mention an impressively twisty-turny plotline - just who the main bad guy will turn out to be is not at all clear until quite late on. Good performances all round, too.

A perfect introduction to Catwoman. Or Catgirl to start. How she came to be how she is and her relationship to Bruce. I really loved the Independence but also moral compass she had. They didn't make her feel like a criminal but more antihero, which is what she is.
If your a fan of graphic novels and beginnings this is a great read to jump in with.

"I discovered this book at 15 at a time when society’s view of the gay world was fugitive criminal. Looking thru Genet’s poetic eyes into queer life in France grounded in criminality, in the margins of humanity was a both a validation of the people I was meeting, with their fierce sense of self identification and a window into my future in the NY Underground."

"One of the most prolific writers in history, Simenon is best known for his crime novels featuring the detective Maigret. “I’ll manufacture Fords for a while until enough money comes in,” he said once, “Then I’ll make Rolls-Royces for pleasure.” Dirty Snow is a Rolls. A slender novel about a petty criminal living in a nameless occupied city, this book punches well above its weight class."

Abuse of Discretion is about a boy that saves a picture of and is the one that got accused of something he did not do. What will the justice system do about it? Is the adult system better than the juvenile criminal justice system?

The author takes you inside the juvenile criminal justice system with this story and plot. It about a boy and sex-texting. Will Graylin be put in jail for something he did not do or will be saved interact and that he got a photo of a classmate saved on his phone? He was just doing what young kids do at their age of fourteen. Will the truth be set him free or not.

Why do juvenile criminal justice system judges like to lock up teens and not let them go? It could have to do with something about the law written by the state. We get an inside of the system and to find out what happens we see Pamela and Angelica take on the case of depending Graylin.

Dres Thomas has his own problems to deal with. Will he outwit the Shepard or will he be killed himself? You will need to find out by reading. Pamela Samuels Young write the plot well. She throws in twist and turns and mystery throughout the book.

Going Out with a Bang
Criminal psychology has always been a very interesting subject for me. Criminal Minds (an amazing tv show for those of you who haven't heard of it) first introduced me to the subject of profiling which is when you can predict certain characteristics of a person based on the crime committed. It reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and the deductions he makes through his observations. Honestly, when they explain how they got to that conclusion, it always seems so simple, but I would have never been able to guess.

Profiling is now used by lots of detectives to narrow down the suspect pool and to try and give them a lead. But it had to start somewhere, and this case was the one that started it all.

1.5 stars, mainly due to the fact that I had no idea what was going on.

It started off fairly normal but I quickly lost track of the plot, with the lawyer-y guy picking up prostitutes and sleeping with most things male. I had no idea if that was part of his investigation or he just liked to get laid.

Then the other guy and his following said lawyer. I was really confused by that bit. Wasn't he supposed to be a criminal? He wasn't acting criminal-y at all. And then that bit at the end just really confused me.

I was completely stumped. I don't know if I missed bits--huge chunks of this short story!!--or it just didn't sink in, what was happening, but it's fair to say I had absolutely no idea. I won't be continuing this serial.
