Oh dear you have to expect more from John Carpenter than this. A straight to DVD horror that has a very low budget and more of a 12A rating feel to it. Not scary, a few jumpy scenes and that's it. Well at least it has Amber Heard in it, to make it more interesting!

"Sullivan’s Travels, along with The Miracle at Morgan’s Creek and Unfaithfully Yours, is my favorite Preston Sturges movie. I love how you can never guess where this story is headed. Then, when the ending and the message reveal themselves, it’s hilarious, ironic, and moving. And the documentary on Sturges on the Criterion DVD is priceless."

"The making-of documentary on this DVD is one of my all-time favorites. When I first started watching special features, often the making-of documentaries would be for gigantic, complicated movies like The Matrix or Fight Club. Watching a small, personal, character-driven film be made was quite a fascinating revelation to me."

I only sort of remember Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, and I've never read the book. I bought this DVD years ago on sale, and decided to randomly watch it. I seriously loved everything about it, and I'll probably watch it again. It didn't take itself too seriously, and was playful for a spy story.

Smart, well written and fast-paced, at times almost unbearably intense and boosted by terrific performances from Rami Malek, Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday

A pretty decent thriller, although not surprised it was straight to DVD. Saying that it does have a strong well known cast but just has a low budget feel to it. It's watchable especially if you like any of the actors but just not as intense or gripping as better thrillers. Called Butterfly on a wheel in the UK.
