Surprised this isn't better known, although it does seem to have been a straight to DVD release. After seeing a trailer I gave it a whirl. It is extremely gory, bloody, violent and full of torture in the same vein, pardon the pun, as Hostel. The overall story is similar and kinda a mix of that and Turistas. A group of American wrestlers on a trip to Eastern Europe miss the rest of their group and need to take the train to meet up with them in the next city. So this will well and truly keep the gore fans happy. Overall it's an ok horror film if nothing new or different.

A decent low budget indie flick made in Northern Ireland. It has some well known faces like Rachael Taylor (Transformers) and a great location, an old disused prison which genuinely looks creepy. The film has a nice idea, a virtual reality battle simulation used by the army is borrowed for a gaming session. The only problem that as well as mapping the old prison to play in the game it also picks up a ghost with revenge in mind. Considering the budget the effects are ok. It reminded me a bit of Stay alive and more recently Gamer. Overall a good effort on a low budget, the DVD has a 30 minute making of as well!

A cracking Swedish whodunit/thriller. I have heard great things about the books so thought I would give this a go. The DVD has the option of subtitles or English Audio, I went for the audio as I was a little tired. Thankfully not one of those films where the dubbing appears totally out of sync and distracts you. It takes a little while to get going but the last hour or more is brilliant. Very brutal and violent at times to, but this is up there with the best thrillers around!! Very surprised an English version is being made just next year? Going to be near impossible to better this in any way??

Should have went straight to video
I really like Deadpool 2, and this is basically the same thing. It has been cleaned up a bit so they could make it PG13. They also added in a few new scenes.
The things they added were funny, and the changes didn't take away from the over all effect of the movie.
The main reason I am giving it such a low rating is because, it was completely unnecessary. I would have understand a PG13 DVD release, but a theater release is just over kill. I think this is just a money grab mixed with an attempt to keep Deadpool relevant why they work on the next movie.

"Oh, there are so many better films I might have chosen; better Bergmans too. But this is the film that sparked my repertory movie theater habit—back in the days, kids, when there was no such thing as home video, much less the DVD. This was the film that opened up a big wide world beyond what’s-playing-this-week to a young teen, the film that convinced me that this world was worth driving an hour or two or more to sample again and again. For that—and, yes, for its much-parodied yet still powerfully iconic imagery—it’ll always have a place on that inner shelf bridging the heart and mind."

"Weird Sex. Obsession. Comic Books.” is how this film was billed. Each category alone is enough to put this on a top ten list. Crumb falls into a rare group of documentaries. A hero like R. Crumb is so reclusive and so fickle about who he allows to get close to him, but close they get. He’s a Slob over Snob for life. This film is more about Charles Crumb, the hidden master in the family, then it is about Robert. The art alone, like with many Criterions, is a reason to own this and present it on a shelf. Though here, there’s something very appropriate about having a DVD among your old issues of Weirdo or Zap. "

Despite the fact I haven't seen all of the others (I know, I'm making a habit of that.) I took myself to see Transformers: The Last Knight. The ticket cost me an outrageous £1.60 as it was the 3D one that coincided with me leaving work. I enjoyed this one. Was it the best film ever? No. Was it diverting and amusing? Yes it was. I did feel a little bit conned that Optimus switched allegiance so quickly. But I loved the little dinosaur bots... they were adorable. I'm not going to buy this one on DVD, but it was an amusing way to spend an afternoon, and I wasn't horrendously bored... so that's all good.
