Extremely brave account of weight and trauma
Roxane Gay's deeply moving, hard-hitting biographical account of rape and its consequences is harrowing and triggering. The profound impact it had on her life goes to explain all her decision making as a result. Not to explain away her feelings of her weight, but it shows a small tenet of how trauma can have such devastating results. It can be a little repetitive from a literary perspective but it's well worth all the kudos.

12 Angry Men (1957)
12 Angry Men (1957)
1957 | Classics, Drama
The hype is definitely justified for this film. It's between this film and @Witness for the Prosecution (1957) for the best courtroom dramas ever made.
The tension is perfect throughout the movie, and the decision-making process on whether or not the defendant was guilty of the crime or not.
Every courtroom drama after this film has been undoubtedly inspired by this film. If you've never seen it and are a fan of courtroom/crime genres, this is a can't-miss film.

Firm Family Favourite
This has become a firm family favourite. We love the concept of this game and play it regularly. It has become quite evil at times when we have blocked someone from completing their route and consequently losing them loads of points. This devilish part of the strategy adds a very competitive twist to a really fun, intense game.

It really does affect you (especially if you have a small child!) (2 more)
The 'dilemma' is plausible, if very frustrating to watch
The mechanics of the dilemma play out in a way that has you utterly engaged
Plot holes all over the place, and seemingly irrelevant scenes (3 more)
The terrible decision making of the lead role and lack of urgency at times is unrealistic
Is that a Land Rover Discovery in disguise?
This movie will stress you out!
Utterly desperate and stressful to watch, although strangely compelling
