I keep going back for more on this game. The art and design are excellent, the themes of the new expansions continue to be great. It's a little too difficult to stay up to date without spending money, but it is possible.

"Well, I mean, come on. This is a masterpiece. I don’t know what to say that hasn’t already been said by many people way smarter than me, but it set a very high bar for brilliant satire, acting, cinematography, production design, everything."

"This entire movie could have been about the friction between Danny Glover and Gene Hackman and it still would have been amazing. Look past the production design and darling costumes if you can; the story is oak solid behind those oxblood walls."

A return to form
I personally didn't love Nolan's last two efforts, (Interstellar and The Dark Rises,) but this is a return to form. This isn't Nolan telling an overly ambitious story about interdimensional space travel or a billionaire crime fighter, this is a story that actually happened. Although it feels epic in scope, this movie takes place in one location and it benefits from it. We get to see personal dramas and intimate conflicts and we feel like we are right there alongside the men on that beach. Also the sound design is utterly incredible.

Having waited 30+ years for this film I fell asleep upon first viewing as I was bored rigid.
I am a huge fan of the original, however this was a gigantic disappointment, Gosling is as charismatic as a broken rubiks cube and Jared Leto was useless as a Tyrell wannabe who dials in a William Shatner style performance as he attempts to steal every scene he is in.
The cinematography and sound design are outstanding and that's where the good stuff ends.
Let me make this quite clear, I do not like this overly long moving picture!

Pacing
After reading the amazing reviews this movie was getting, I had to see this. Sadly, I was left checking my watch, waiting for something to happen. Half this movie could have been cut and it wouldn't affect the pacing or the plot. There is a spooky atmosphere towards the end but not enough to chill me. This is the third movie but A24 studios I've seen and all suffer from the same fault. The only positive point i can make is the set design - comparing it/making it look like the miniatures that frequent the movie
