First of a new era for doctor who first appearance of Patrick troughton as the doctor and his first against the daleks unfortunately was wiped from the archives back in the 70s but for doctor who fans this is the animated version which makes up for the loss. Good story the doctor discovers that the daleks are pretnding to be servants to a human colony on the planet vulcan so they can get power to to take over the colony but no one believes him the daleks show devious side manipulating the colony into trusting them which is a side them we don't see that often . U can also watch this in colour but I prefer it black and White highly recommend

The first companion chronicle with Susan is a wonderfully cool 1st Doctor adventure, with some very nifty sci-fi concepts that feel like something 60s Doctor Who would have attempted. Carol Ann Ford captures Susan perfectly, with nary a hint that 40 years have passed since she last played the role. For more on this title, visit www.travelingthevortex.com

It clearly takes a while for everyone involved to get into the groove of the show. (0 more)
I hadn't watched Doctor Who since I was a kid with the Fourth Doctor (I didn't remember enough about the show since that time to inform my opinion going into New Who), and to be honest, I had a really hard time getting into the first couple of episodes, but friends kept telling me to stick with it, and I'm glad that I did. Chris Eccleston as Nine is my least favorite of the New Who Doctors, but I really feel it is very important to watch the show from the beginning of the reboot and not just skip to certain Doctors. There is a definite progression of story here and I don't think new watchers would appreciate the show as much if they skip right to 10 or 11 as I hear many people say should happen. Nine may not be the best Doctor (IMO), but he is important in the grand scheme of the show.

Classic who probably my favourite 4th doctor story of all time it has everything the doctor dressed Sherlock Holmes Fu man Chu type villain part jack the ripper phantom of the opera what's not to love about this story. Only gripe white actors made up as Chinese characters in this day and age wouldn't happen classic all the way

Vocs
I like this one it has everything that makes classic who group of people who are trapped with the doctor and his companion with an enemy who's killing them off one by one. The story takes alot of cues from Agatha Christie novels plenty of red herrings. And then there's the VOCs probably one of the best designed robots in who history. plus Tom baker in his element trying to convince the crew that it's the VOCs that are the real killers and not him or someone else is controlling them. Pure classic but not the last time that doctor who will use Christie for inspiration
