When Aaron is asked to clear a young man with Asperger Syndrome, he can't say no. The police do have a pretty compelling case, can Aaron prove he is innocent? The sub-plots threaten to take over at times, but the humor and characters kept me quickly turning pages.

I could not finish this book. I hated everyone except the dog. I found the casual talk of rape and pedophilia disgusting. Even the consensual sex acts often started with the protagonist peeping on an unknowing female lead. I understand that it is horror but it wasn't scary to me. There was no suspense, no chills, no one I wanted to remain unscathed from the mysteries of the canyon.

Melissa McCarthy was wrongly cast in this, and that is all there is to it. For a sum total of about 1 minute we saw her do what she does best - an outraged verbal attack on someone reasonably innocent. The rest of the film she was basically Bette Midler. The storyline was rubbish, the comedy mostly absent and the title of the film is just utter dog mess. Complete drivel.

"It’s about the life of a race car driver, told from the perspective of his dog, Enzo! Trust me, you’re gonna love this story — even those who are skeptical about talking canines. Your family will love it. Your friends will love it. And call me a gambler, but I’d put money on the fact that even your cats will want you to read it to them again and again."

"You can’t go wrong with that, right? It’s one of those where everything works. Everybody had to pick up their performance, including cast and technicians. And I’m a huge, huge long-time fan of Mr. Pacino so… I think it’s, along with Dog Day Afternoon, his best performance. There’s something about the movie that really transports you to a different era, like it takes you to a new place."
