Fast Paced, Adrenalin Pumping Movie
If you are going to see one movie this summer, make it this one. When you going to the theater do not be late, because the first 6 minutes of this movie are flat out fast paced and amazing. After the opening credits nothing slows down.

The best part of this movie though is how they incorporate the music into the movie. Every time Baby is on the screen and wear his headphones, we not only hear the music in his head but we can feel the way it plays into the scene. Because of the ringing in his ears he needs the music to balance himself out and stay focused. This plays a big part towards the end of the movie.

This movie from front to back is nonstop and has an interesting story to follow. Every person should go see this movie, then own it.

After falling in love with Maid To Match, I decided to try another novel from Deeanne Gist. I have always enjoyed books about people trying to make it in the harsh frontiers, so I figured this would be a good choice.

Like Maid To Match, the characters of A Bride Most Begrudging live simple lives in simple times where the most they worry about is keeping peace with the Indians and keeping their young girls from learning math. It was like being taken to another world. Deeanne Gist is such a master at creating realistic historical worlds that it’s hard to not be drawn in.

It’s not just the world that Gist creates that is realistic, but also the characters. They have their faults, glaring and obvious, and they have their strengths that keep them driving forward. They have their struggles and the trials, and, while the situations don’t always end up they way they want or plan, they still survive...mostly.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

Largely superfluous entry to the F&F series doesn't feature any of your favourite characters, probably, was only retconned to have any connection to the rest of the series some years later. Identikit bad-boy teen gets packed off to Japan to teach the locals a thing or two about driving on the famously non-congested streets of Ikebukuro.

Really a film struggling to find a reason to justify its own existence: the plot is very forgettable and the rest of it rather so what - film attempts to make quest to go round corners sideways at high speed look like some kind of spiritual mission; essentially fails. Surprisingly unflattering to the Japanese characters, too; wouldn't happen nowadays. The movie's fascination with the fact some people have cameras on their phones is charmingly quaint, too. All the important parts of Tokyo Drift are recycled in later F&F movies, so you only really need to bother with this one if you're a completist.
