Debbiereadsbook (1413 KP) rated Mr March (Calendar Men #3) in Books
Mar 6, 2018
It's only a matter a time, you know, before a book in a series tips you one way or the other. It tips you up to that five star read, or down to three and you really don't want to read any more.
This one?? 5 star read people!
I said in my review for February, that I liked that the shifter element was just sort of there, it wasn't a major part of the story. But here, the shifter part is a MASSIVE part of the story! Go figure, huh!
Jason is Mr March, and they have just finished up shooting on Arturo's land. There is a bit of an overlap between February and March's books. Waking up in someone else's bed, Jason can't remember how he got there, but he CAN remember the vet who looked after his lion form. Casey is a vet at the refuge that Jason's cat is bought to, but there is something bigger going on, and it will take some digging to get to just what.
I loved Jason's sisters, and their teasing of Jason. Loved Jessica too. Jason and Casey have a huge network of support and they need it, especially when they find out what is really going on!
It's not an overly complicated book, nor is it graphic or explicit, but I really LOVED that it wasn't! It's a really great read, and I read this in one sitting, at 1130 at night. Good job I did not have work this morning!
The shoot is now slowly shifting from single nekkid guys for each month, to a couple for each month. Still not sure it will get published, but it's great fun watching it, either way.
I would like to know more about how Perry's dad is, since he was the original photographer. He;s dealing with some heavy stuff and it would be nice to catch up with him, even if it's just a bit more than we get here.
Fabulous, sexy, read

Debbiereadsbook (1413 KP) rated Home and Heart in Books
Jan 7, 2019
For the most part, I DID enjoy this. Mostly.
I will always say I like my male/male books on the more explicit side, and I will make no apologies for that. More sexy time is always better for me, SO LONG as the story can carry it. However, HERE, I found that while there is a lot of sex, it's not carried well by the story. What is here is good, and it's well written and super sexy, but I just felt the overall story gets lost somewhere along the way.
Sawyer's husband died 6 years ago, and he took to the bottle to literally drown his sorrows. Now, he's sober and ups and moves clear across the country for a new start. That there are three guys in the building with a friends with benefit type arrangement, helps Sawyer a lot.
The type of relationship Sawyer had with his husband, the depth of that, creeps out slowly, as does the depth of the relationship between Benny and Luke, and I did like that. I LOVED that Luke and Benny were well established and Derek their sometime third. LOVED that Luke saw that Sawyer was a sub, very quickly, and that he began teaching Derek to be Sawyer's Dom. Loved that Derek didn't even KNOW he wanted to be a Dom, before Sawyer. I loved that once in, Derek was adamant that Sawyer was HIS and HIS alone and HE would be the one to give Sawyer what he needed, even if Derek wasn't keen on whatever that might be.
So, what is here is great, brilliant and all that but I just felt the STORY, Sawyer's story, about moving across the country for a new start, coming out of his shell, was lost in all that, very well written and delivered, sex.
And if I say there is too much sex, you gotta know there is a lot!
All four guys do get a say, and I did finish it in one sitting. Enjoyable enough for that so
3 solid stars

Debbiereadsbook (1413 KP) rated Daddy's Girl in Books
Jan 29, 2021
Kyron needs an omega to get him pregnant, ASAP. Tolly needs money ti keep a roof over his and his fathers heads. Perfect solution? Kyron pays Tolly to give him a son, so he can inherit the vineyard as is written in the will, and then part ways. But the longer they spent together, the more they think that neither will be able to walk away.
Kyron had a bad experience with an omega, and he doesn't WANT one, but he NEEDS one, else he will lose everything. Tolly has also had a negative experience with alphas. The animosity between them is so heavy in the beginning, you can almost taste it. But that melts as time goes on and it was so wonderful watching the ice thaw around both their hearts.
I LOVED not being able to put all the clues together as to the who was wrecking everything for Kyron. LOVED that. Got it totally wrong so well played there, Ms Sue! The WHY as well threw me!
The clues are there, people, they really are, as to what might happen and I was not putting them together fast enough, nor correctly. I loved the references to the history of this world, and the people in it, and what happened before. I loved that for some random reason Tolly is the way forward for these people. I am curious as to whether this will be a series, and I might have missed that announcement, somehow, but I feel there is more to come from this world and the people in it.
I didn't find it overly explicit, but I liked that it wasn't. It's more about the falling for each other, what happens to the vineyard, and the missing pieces of their history that matter here.
And then that surprise! *Enough said!*
5 full and shiny stars, here's hoping for more!

Debbiereadsbook (1413 KP) rated All He Needs (My Truth #1) in Books
Sep 29, 2019
Caden has lusted after his straight friend, Mason, for some time. Add in Rick, and Caden thinks he’s nuts for wanting two men. Then Caden’s snowboarding career is ended by a silly stupid mistake on his part, and he needs to go home to help his sister with her imminent arrival. But home is half-way across the globe and Caden doesn’t know if he’ll ever get back to New Zealand. When Caden is faced with a devastating loss, Mason and Rick come running to help THEIR man. Because Caden is THEIRS, they just need him to see it.
I loved this, a LOT!
All three guys have been lusting after the other two for some time, and it was great watching them all come together, even if it took such a loss to Caden for make everyone see.
All three guys have a say, in the first person. Each change occurs as the chapter changes and each change is clearly headed.
It’s not overly explicit, but it IS heart breaking in places. Caden’s loss, then the possibility he might lose his baby niece, and the way his father has dealt with everything up to now. His dad does comes good though, and I think Mason and Rick were great for Dad as well as Caden.
I have just one thing, that stops in getting 5 stars.
I felt I was missing some information on each of the guys stories, some back history that I wasn’t getting. Like there was another book before this one that I should have read.
Were these guys in another series, even as secondary characters? I’m not sure EXACTLY what I was missing, but you all know I’m all about sharing my feelings, and THIS feeling stayed with me right through the whole book!
Still, a very enjoyable read, that I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish in one sitting. It would be great to catch up with all of these guys, Dad included, at some point.
So, ONLY because of that niggly feeling.....
4 stars

Debbiereadsbook (1413 KP) rated Elias in Books
May 12, 2020
Elias is plodding along, not particularly happy, as such, but getting by. He has a good job, and will be making VP shortly. Then he meets Ty and all bets are off. Ty brings something out in Elias, and Elias in Ty, and they just have to get past their *initial* thoughts about each others jobs.
SO!
I am ALL about my books feelings and this book right, hits a whole damn lot of them! I have not had such a cute story, that left me with so much warm and fuzzies in a long damn time! And I really REALLY enjoyed it!
Both Elias and Ty have a say, in the third person. So we get all the things Elias was thinking about when he meets Ty and Ty tells him off for putting his rubbish in the wrong bin. We get all of Ty's emotions when he realises how much more than friends he wants to be with Elias. We get it all.
It's not especially explicit, but damn, it's hot! There is chemistry, right from the start, between these two and it burns bright and hot the whole way through.
It's a bit emotional in places, when Elias is talking about his family and his past, and I was tearful at that point. Ty's family is great at taking Elias in as one of there own though.
There is no violence, no nutty ex, no major break up. And THAT, my book friends, is what I LOVED most about this book. The fact that; yes they fall out; but it's such a minor, silly thing, and it's resolved pretty quickly, but it's not relationship-break-up material, you know? It's a falling out over the choice of words one of them used, and everyone is happy after they talked it out.
They get their Happy Ever After in a very, almost fairy-tale like way, and I really REALLY enjoyed it!
4 wonderful stars (Can't quite stretch to 5 and most of the webistes don't do halves!)
