It's really hard to say if I liked Glorious or not. I liked it in some ways, in some ways it was good but I could not like it, and in other ways I disliked it.

One of the reasons I did like it, was the writing. McFadden has an interesting writing style: She writes like people think. You get asked a question and you have a million things you want to say, and a million thoughts go through your head at light speed, but all you say is a short quick answer that has no significance to the person who asked, but has monumental significance to you because of your thoughts behind all of it? That's what reading Glorious feels like, and that's how McFadden writes. It's beautiful and insightful.

Glorious is really hard to enjoy, even if you do like it, because of the things that happen. It's a tragic time period, and a lot of horrible things happen to poor Easter. She witnesses families being torn apart by abuse and rape, she sees people die, she commits sins, she gets wrapped up with the wrong people. There are good parts, wonderful parts that make you smile and sigh and say "thank God something good is finally happening to the poor girl." But then there are other parts that say "oh will it ever end for poor Easter?" It's hard to enjoy stuff like rape and murder and lynching. Glorious is a wakeup call, reminding us what life was like for Black Americans (respectively) after they got their freedom, but before they gained equality with Whites.

I got to Chapter 23, about 2/3 of the way through, when I stopped reading. It didn't feel like anything was happening. I mean, lots of things happened to Easter, but nothing was happening in the story. It was just her life written out, and it was too broad. There was no main plot, it was all subplot.

I "enjoyed" (or maybe appreciated is a better word) the part that I read, however I don't think I should read something unless I feel urged to continue.

Content: Adult content. Language, violence, rape, etc. Has some homosexuality

Recommendation: Ages 18+

Ghost Owl is a story of Mariah Easter. Will she find out about her potential and learn about herself? She seems to struggle with her gift. I love the fact that Nacy show us a way into the afterlife and that maybe we are all reincarnate or we move through space and different dimensions of space.

Is everything an illusion or is it something as we see what want to make or see what we want to see? Is life as we see it or is what we think it is. Could it be that there are different parts of world that we can travel to any dimensions we want to and choose to live in the dimension where were born or do want to go higher. Is there nothing in this world, we do not exist. We are in body to experience that lifetime but then shred it and go to another life or travel somewhere else.

As we travel though Mariah Journey, is death even real? Nancy has you guessing and trying to believe that maybe we come back and travel to dimension and live there. It just us making that choice. Are what we pass to the next life and experience higher. Mariah meets someone and what about this new gift and maybe smell she or essence she got. What tribe is part of and why? We learn some of this as we read about Mariah Easter and her journey.

It’s the week before Easter, but Flavia is focused on the unearthing of the village’s patron saint in honor of the 400th anniversary of his death. However, a very modern corpse is also found in the crypt, and Flavia is on the case.

The case seems to wander quite a bit as the book progresses, bringing in things that appear unrelated. However, everything does come into play before the book is over. I’m truly enjoying watching these characters grow, and some of the ongoing stories really have me curious about what comes next.

Overall this movie is very funny and although the show is not great the movie is

The movie makes fun of superhero movies and DC and Warner Bros too.

The songs in this movie is great too.

And I didn't take this too seriously either I think the shows hate that it gets is a little bit much but the

The movie is satirical and parody humor is amazing as well.

Definitely a good watch if u need to quiet the kids down

Netgalley and the publisher provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
If you're looking for the grim dark n edgy that DC does to varying degrees of wellness this book is not for you.

If you want a silly romp that revels in outrageous fun and Easter eggs? This is your book!

Hiram Lodge wants to drain a swamp and build over it. Pamela finds out about this and gets Harley to join her in kidnapping Betty and Veronica.

Which would have worked out beautifully if not for Zatanna and Sabrina.

Oops!

I don't think I can properly express the joy this book brought me. It's absolutely delightful!
