Great for eBooks
Like having a public library in your pocket. I used it, primarily, for audio books. I burned through the unabridged selection very quickly and stopped using it.
The eBook portion of the app is really good though. You can port it to almost any ereader and again, it is free just like the library.
If they would have a better selection of audio books that were not abridged, I would be back on this platform in a heartbeat.

A Must-Have App for Any Book Lover
I discovered Libby at the suggestion of another internet user, and while I didn't even have a library card to begin with, I have since fallen in love.
Why I Love it: As a college student, I don't have a lot of spare money. As a college student who loves to read, this can be a problem! Libby solves some of these issues for me. It's basically an easy way to access the digital content from your local libraries. All you need is a library card. If you like audiobooks or ebooks, this is an app for you.
The Downsides: There are a few downsides to Libby. For one, you need a library card - but those are easy enough to come by, right? Second, the selection can be somewhat limited depending on what your library system houses. The best solution to this is to get multiple library cards, but while this is good for college students and out-of-towners, its not a viable option for everyone. Another issue is waiting lists on both ebooks and audibooks, much like you're actually checking out a book at a library. This is kind of annoying, but it's a small price to pay for an app that is otherwise really great.

Could be great!
I love finding ebooks on Libby and I typically place all 6 allowed holds for new and hot books. I have downloaded audiobooks, but I typically listen to these in the car, and its not compatible with Apple Car Play. So I have to use headphones...weird! And I wish my wishlists and markers would sync my account to the eLibrary site. The holds do, but that's all. I had a huge wishlist on the website but when I went to find a new book on Libby, my wish list was empty :(

Puts your local library at your fingertips, literally. Use your phone to borrow books. (2 more)
You have a choice of formats for most books: Kindle, Ebooks, even Audio
No trekking through the snow, rain, heat to return overdue library books
I absolutely love this app, and use it almost daily! My favorite thing about it is that you can use it to read on your phone if you choose, i.e. if a book isn't available in Kindle format. I'm no longer afraid of the Library Police either, because the books are returned on their own on the date they are due! With my library and Overdrive, you can choose your lending period, 7, 14 or 21 days. You can put books on hold, create a wishlist, and view your reading history. Overdrive is a must for readers like me!

Wide variety of books available and growing daily (2 more)
Partnered with Audible
Account is transferable from device to device
My go-to for ebooks!
This is an app I depend on daily. I can find everything from hidden gems, free books and classics to wildly popular current titles and even self-published books. Most titles that I want to find are available, sometimes even before the physical copy can be found nearby! Add in that I can get the audio book for a greatly reduced price through Audible if I buy the book via Kindle first, and I'm totally sold on this app. I also greatly appreciate that the books sync across devices, which makes it a heck of a lot easier to keep up with the material I'm reading.
Basically, there's nothing not to love about this app!

Superb reading experience
This is the ultimate top of the range in kindle e readers and reading on it is a great experience. Considering I have owned every version of their e-ink readers, I can easily compare.
The e-ink on this is perfect. You can turn pages by screen touch or buttons on the side. This is the first kindle reader to auto rotate, which makes the page turner buttons work however you hold it. It is waterproof and Iβve used it in the pool and in the bath. It has Bluetooth capability and so I listen to my audiobooks on it as well as reading ebooks.
The only disadvantages are the battery drains quicker than the paperwhite, but you just get used to charging more often, about once a week for me but I am a daily avid reader. The price point is also pretty high.
All that said, I love it and Iβm pleased with it still two years down the line.

Fantastic for the price
I gave this a go as my wife was looking for something that she could listen to when she was walking the dog. When it came I was amazed by just how many functions it has. Aside from the mp3 and video capabilities, it also has photos, ebooks, pedometer, fm radio, stop watch, alarm and lots more. I was a little perturbed to find that I could not Bluetooth songs to it, only connect it by Bluetooth to headphones. It comes with all the necessary cables and instruction. It also comes with a strap on armband so you can easily slip the mp3 player into it, which makes it ideal for those people who want to jog or run whilst listening to music. A great item for a great price (Β£34.99 on Amazon)
