I know, you can just Google the words, or watch a lyric version on YouTube, but this is different. Nostalgic. Plus, the art is wonderful. The colour and style is great, works well with the tone of the album and has a great simplicity to it.
Anyway, on to the music. I avoided Ed Sheeran at first, never one to hop on the hype train. But Toot Toot, thus guy does not dissapoint, and this album is no exception.
A great mix of up-beatand catchy songs, with some deep heart breakers to balance it out. It has something for all moods. Listen to it, then go back and listen again. There is wit and tenderness in his words that you do not see too often these days, and in a world of mainstream multiples, this album equals a little bit of diversity. From balards to rap, is there nothing he can't do?
Thanks Ed, and thanks @Smashbomb for my treat xxx

But, that aside, the film was an ok watch. Yes, some things just weren't explained like how did 2 other people know about the Beatles and to what actually happened with the black out?
But never the less, the film plodded along and keeps you interested to what happens at the end. Other than that...hmm? Music-film wise, Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman are far, far superior to this.
As for the Ed Sheeran cameo...luckily his song writing is far better than his acting.

LeftSideCut (3778 KP) rated Metal lords (2022) in Movies

It drags in a few places, and some of the humour doesn't quite land, but it did get a few genuine laughs out of me, and is pretty damn wholesome - there's surprisingly very little musical gate-keeping from any of the characters. The students who are into Ed Sheeran are mostly respectful towards the main characters metal leanings ("Post death metal") and even he appreciates the rival pop band by the time the credits roll. It's a refreshing take on a genre that is rife with elitism.
Other than that, Metal Lords has a banging soundtrack, and some great original music courtesy of the incredibly talented Ramin Djawadi (who is just everywhere these days, and deservedly so).
Metal Lords won't change your life, but it's a fun time. It's pretty much Deathgasm without the gore and demons.
