A beautiful film, with amazing special effects, and great casting. I can't wait for the next one.

100% will recommend. This book was delightful to listen to on Audiobook and was read by Eddie Redmayne. Each purchase makes a donation to Lumos and Comic Relief.

While I didn't care for the movie, oddly enough, I enojoyed reading the screen play. I didn't like Depp as Grindelwald. I am a huge fan of Eddie Redmayne

Meh... seriously... meh. I don't know how they are going to make five films. I'm not going to be popular for this opinion... but oh my god, Eddie Redmayne was so annoying.

What was the point
Nothing about this film was likeable.
Eddie redmayne is not a good actor, there was no story, no discernible plot and no point to this movie whatsoever.

This film is definitely a cry-fest, and I understand why it got all of the nominations. I thought Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne did a fantastic job. While I thought it was good, I wouldn't watch it ever again.

Weak plot
Average and Unnecessary
For me this film is just a new way for JK Rowling to cash in on the Harry Potter franchise (similar to the Cursed Child) and it's totally unnecessary. Yes these characters have been touched upon in the HP books and films, but do we really need this and numerous sequels to tell us all about them? There is such a thing as too much, and I think Fantastic Beasts and it's future sequels are a perfect example.

Eddie Redmayne is the only real saving grace, Colin Farrell is alright, but the rest of the cast and characters are either boring or cliched and irritating. And Johnny Depp? There was a time when he would make a film, but now his casting just makes me groan. The effects are patchy at times and the plot as a whole feels a little weak and lacklustre. And the word "nomaj" is possibly the most irritating and cringeworthy word in the entire Harry Potter universe.

The cast particularly, Eddie Redmayne as Newt scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald Opening action sequence was cool. Cgi was fantastic (1 more)
The world feels magical and the nostalga of being back in the wizarding world is always beautiful.
Grindelwald was underused considering it's called The crimes of grindelwald. The plot was messy and sloppy. Too many flashback sequences including two back to back sequences that lasted 20 minutes (1 more)
The big plot twist/reveal at the end makes no sense from what i know from the Harry Potter lore. Lack of Continuity Action sequences weren't that impressive
A disappointing entry in the Harry Potter franchise
