"I’ve read, reread and loved this book most of my life. It never disappoints. Twain writes with an easygoing virtuosity that makes American English the equal of any King’s. This is the book that codified American English, not Moby Dick or The Scarlet Letter. Those two great books are American Literature. Huck and Jim are America. The seeds of the tragedy of racism are planted on nearly every page of Twain’s masterpiece. Those birds are still coming home to roost."

Non-Realistic Classic
The first time I read this book, I took everything at face value. I thought anything I would be reading for an English class would be a realistic piece of literature. Boy, was I wrong. This science fiction WWII book launched my love for Kurt Vonnegut’s body of work, and I am so glad for it.

One of the classics of English literature, this short story is also by the same author who wrote "Treasure Island" (amongst others).

What I found interesting, though, is in how Mr Hyde is described within: unlike the malformed gaint monstrosity that is familiar form TV and film, Hyde is actually described as younger than Jekyll and of a lesser stature, while still projecting an aura of evil.
