The climax of the Omaran tetralogy sees redeemed Deliverer Simon Wargallow lead a small band to defeat the sorceror Anakhizer before he can destroy the world.

So far so epic-fantasy-by-the-numbers. But this is no Tolkien clone. Cole was doing Grimdark fantasy long before there was any Grimdark fantasy and this still stands amongst one of the best final books in a fantasy series.

Despite any summary of the story sounding very cliched, it is anything but. The characters must dig deep to survive, the danger growing as they get closer to their goal.

If you want an epic fantasy that still feels refreshingly different, you can't do better.

Mandalorian
Easily the best Star Wars Live action project since Return of the Jedi
I Am sooooo happy to be reporting back positive on this TV show. Since Disney bought Lucasfilm they have missed more often than hit. But so far the Mandalorian is a smash hit.

It feels grand, epic and it captures the very essence of A New Hope the darkness of Empire Strikes Back and everything we love about our favourite Space Western. The blend of CGI and practical is effortless the music of this show is as much a character as the titular Mandalorian.

I love this show, long may this continue and Disney don’t screw it up!!!

Epic Series
Three seasons in, and I am still enjoying it. There is a lot of intrigue around Eleven, and the Upside down. Though we are still waiting for season 2's side quest in the city to pay off, there are plenty of rewards for regular viewers.
With its great casting, epic cinematography, and all the 80s throwbacks, it's a great for all.
Just try and dislike those kids, I dare you.
It is tense, fun and witty, with some high stakes and great plot twists. Well worth a watch.
Thanks to a Smashbomb competition win, I now have a Demigorgan Funko Pop for my collection.
Almost as creepy as the real thing.

This is my number one Christmas movie that I have to watch on Christmas Eve. I know it's not really a xmas movie but, to me it is. One of Bruce Willis best movies. Don't really know if it needed 4 sequels but reportadly a sixth is in the making

An epic classic
Everything about this film is top quality, the cast, story, score, cinematography and dialogue. Javier Bardem is immense as the icy cool killer hired to retrieve the money stolen from a drug deal gone bad. Sure to be a cult classic!

High expectations, slow burn.
The first 2 episodes of this series were a lot slower than some had expected, but that is pretty normal to my mind.
The series really hit its stride in the third episode onwards: we saw some epic battle scenes and some good old political intrigue and back-stabbing.
