RESTITUTION is the fourth book in the Reagalos series and brings to a close the story between Lornyc and Methian. You really need to read this as a series, otherwise, it just won't make sense. But then, would you expect it to, if you started at book 4?

Although this is a hard book for Lornyc, it was probably the easiest of the lot for me as the political machinations take a back seat to an epic competition where the prize is to be the Supreme Ruler of Beher.

The relationship between Lornyc and Methian continues to grow, no matter what is thrown at it. The supporting characters are still there, but we hear less of them in this one. The concentration really is on Lornyc and Methian, and I'm so glad it was!

I can't say any of it was a surprise, as such, but I wasn't reading it for surprises this time; just for the excellent standard of story-telling I have come to expect from this author. I had high hopes for Beher. Tolem was a great addition, especially for Cupris, and I hope we see more of them in the future.

This was a brilliant ending to their story, although it has been left WIDE-OPEN for further stories (hint hint - YES, PLEASE!) featuring both Lornyc and Methian and also ALL the other characters.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series from beginning to end, and I just don't think I'm ready to let them go yet. Absolutely recommended by me.

Say hello to a modern classic!
Brian DePalma has had an interesting career making some truly classic films and a lot of real crap. Obviously, this film is the former and is probably his best work.

A role written for Al Pacino by Oliver Stone, the story is a basic one I suppose, the rise of a Cuban drug lord. The old replaced by the new. Gruesome violence (a lot of which isn't actually seen, but heard and implied).

The film still holds up as a tour de force performance by Pacino and an epic drug gangster film that has not been equaled.

The cinematography and beautiful look of the film is also interesting in that it seems to capture the locale well even though they only filmed in south Florida for a few weeks (the locals heard about the making of the film and decided they didn't like the idea of it before even seeing).

One of my all time favorites!

Not the ending we hoped for
It's been a long time coming and expectations were very high for this final series to one of the best TV shows ever made. It really shows that this series goes past where the books ended I believe. It's only 6 episodes long despite some being over an hour long. Yet it feels rushed and short of content. When you have had 7 series to build up so many story and characters arcs, it feels rushed bringing it all to an end so quickly. Some storylines just don't pan out as expected. Some of them just don't seem to fit at all, others were far too short. Despite all of this it still has some amazing scenes and action, great SFX and still manages to surprise you with what happens as it always has done. Such a shame it has come to an end. So it's not the ending many hoped for but it has been an epic ride along the way.

Ok
I must be one of only people in the world that didn't really enjoy the book. When I first read it I really struggled to get past the first couple of chapters as I just couldn't get on with the style of writing and felt that there were so many other better books that I could be reading (I was very much into epic fantasy authors at the time and was reading Trudi Canavan). I tried it again when I was older and did end up finishing it this time around but I still only thought it was ok and could have done with being edited another time or two before publishing it.

I thought that the premise was really interesting and the world was well constructed but it didn't seem to flow as well as I thought it could have, some of the characters were very 2 dimensional and some of the events didn't really seem to be necessary for the progression of the story.

Overall, it wasn't a bad book but I just didn't enjoy it.
