Holy smokes the cuteness.
I loved the cast, I was so happy to see Eva Green who I loved in Penny Dreadful as the main woman in this. Just the cutest little elephant ever.

Brilliantly Bond
Started brilliantly, slowed a little in the middle but overall was very enjoyable. Much grittier than other James Bond films to date.

A very unusual film. Quite erotic as an American student in Paris strikes up a relationship ship with a Brother and sister during the backdrop of student riots in '68. A quirky coming of age tale.

Eve Green is everything in this show. She and Josh Hartnett are the saving graces. Out of all the penny dreadful/gothic horror, etc stories they could have pulled from, they chose.. Frankenstein, Dracula, and Dorian Grey? It could have been so much better. The season finale didn't make me feel like I wanted to watch seasons two or three.

**Disclaimer: This is one of my favorite movies.
This movie holds up through multiple viewings. It's one of a very few (recent movies) concerning the Crusades, which is an interesting era of history. It was a nice balance of both sides of the conflict.

Wouldn't be Christmas without bond on the TV and probably one of my favourite Craig bond films bond for the 21st century nonsense agent what's not to like from this movie Eva green as the bond girl for the new century just as nonsense as bond and Mads Mickkelson as the villian perfect I would say that as I've met him at a Hannibal convention. Plus it's too see Judi dench as m carrying over from the brosnan movies. Almost perfect middle half slows down that's probably because of the card game which takes up about of the movie but anyway good movie

After reading ‘The Other Half of Augusta Hope’, I was so excited to read ‘All My Mothers’. And I was not disappointed. Joanna Glen is rapidly becoming an auto-buy author for me - and this book is full of the same heart as Augusta Hope.
Eva Martinez-Green has two pivotal , life changing moments when she starts school: meeting Bridget Blume, and her teacher reading a book called ‘The Rainbow Rained Us’. Bridget becomes a lifelong friend, Bridget’s mother helps Eva to learn just what a mother can be like: loving and interested in her, unlike Eva’s own mother who has some serious mental health issues. In fact, Mrs Blume steps in to a mothering role for Eva, when Eva moves in due to her own mother having a prolonged stay in a clinic. Mrs Blume is Eva’s benchmark for being a mother for the rest of her life. For that short time she shows Eva affection, treats her like one of her own. Mrs Blume, along with her childhood book, leads Eva to realise that her mother isn’t her birth mother. And so begins the quest to find her.

Eva’s life in London helps the reader to learn about the characters, and when she starts to study in Cordoba, the real task of finding her birth mother begins.

I don’t want to give anything away, because I want you to read it!! It’s beautiful. I pretty much sobbed through the last couple of chapters, so have your tissues handy. But DO read it!!

While in some ways a strange marriage, Dumbo has several Tim Burton elements: an evil rich guy, Michael Keaton/Danny DeVito/Eva Green, outsiders, people who don't get a lot of sun even though they live in a traveling circus. The most Tim Burton thing about it is when Dreamland is engulfed in smoke surrounded by dark clouds and Nightmare Island. The rest of the film is mostly live action Disney. Dumbo has Bambi-like doe eyes and except for the evil wannabe tycoon the humans are sentimental and protective of the kids.

Doesn't Take Off!
If you're expecting a 'live action' version of the loveable, original Disney animation - you're not going to get it! Unfortunately this delivers a sad, dark movie that has hardly any uplifting or magical moments in it. I know Tim Burton has directed, but where is the heart from films such as Edward Scissorhands? The cast perform well (Eva Green stands out) and the special effects are good, but the whole thing leaves you feeling sad. I know most Disney movies have sad themes, but this is not the family entertainment you'd expect with at least an element of joyfulness. Give it a miss.

382. The Salvation. A bad-ass western featuring Mads Mikkelsen! Jon Jensen has been waiting for his wife and son to make their way to America during the 1870s. Jon has been there for a while building a life. And on the very day they arrive, they are murdered. Jon takes swift action and violently kills these two pieces of shit. Unfortunately, one of those pieces of shit has a big brother named Henry that pretty much runs the town through fear and taxes. So when Henry hears of his brothers murder, he wants his own revenge. And sure they go out and find Jon pretty easily and take him in. They quickly realize that a man with nothing to lose, is gonna fight back! Like I said Mads is awesome! Jeffrey Dean Morgan is great as the bad guy Henry. And Eva Green, sure she doesn't say one word in the movie, is freaking great! Like Westerns? This is one to check out!! Filmbufftim on FB
