Fun, Quick, Easy to Learn
Coup is one of my favorite games to teach non-boardgamers. It is quick to learn, and people can beat veteran players within their first few games. Not to mention that a game can be played in less than 15 minutes, so even if players get a bad set of cards, they can start over quickly.

The classes are balanced incredibly well. The only class that is a little weak (the Ambassador), gets fixed by the expansion (Reformation).

Overall, this game has a lot of replayability, and I would highly recommend it for players both new and experienced in social deduction. You will not find a better game for the price (since it usually runs less than $10).

I would also highly recommend purchasing the expansion, Coup: Reformation, which can also be picked up for less than $10. It improves upon the base game in every way, allows for 10 players (up from 6), and allows for teams, which are very fun.

Terraforming Mars: Hellas & Elysium
Terraforming Mars: Hellas & Elysium
2017 | Space
Terraformong Mars: Hellas and Elysium is a small expansion that is a double sided board that overlays the original board to add new terrain, awards and milestones to TM. The new placement bonuses ocean areas change up the usual optimal placements, while the awards and milestones change what an optimal engine is. It adds enough variety to the game play for it's price, but doesn't add new cards or corporations. Unfortunately, the explanation for the new awards and milestones are on a not very durable sheet, so make sure to protect it well.

To be fair, I did help fund this on Kickstarter (in fact it was the first time I'd ever used Kickstarter) and I was glad to pick this game to start with! I've since played it several times with different groups of friends and we all love the game. Adding in the expansions, which are amazing and quite funny, can make the game take longer (in particular the Apocalypse Expansion, as that is exactly what it was designed to do). Pick up a copy and have a blast!

Cards Against Humanity

2009 | Adult, Card Game, Humor, Party Game, Print & Play
This is a game best played with people who aren't easily offended, as it quickly goes downhill into dirty or rude hilarity. Personally, I find this to be an outstanding drinking game, and love breaking it out at parties because everything is somehow funnier that way.

I love that you can actually print a free game right from the website (they claim the cost is about $10 in paper and ink) so if you can't afford it, you can make your own.

Some of the expansion packs are hilarious as well!

The book is good, but the movie is better
A rare case where the movie is better than the book. I like the changes they made, especially Lex, who in the book is not only brat, which I could handle, but she's stupid as f*** too. I don't think most eight-year-olds are quite this idiotic. Otherwise, it's a good book and I did enjoy the information that expanded onto what the movie was limited to provide.

Short gameplay
I won this game in a Smashbomb giveaway and m my family has really enjoyed playing it. It's easily adaptable between 2 and 4 players. We laugh about the cards and have a great time.
Gameplay is short enough to hold the attention of my kids. They don't even get upset when they lose like they do with other games. It's a new favorite for sure. The only down side is that i wish the deck was just a little bigger... but I can always buy the expansion.
