2000 | Abstract Strategy, Territory Building
It's a simple, visually appealing game that can be taught within minutes. The pieces lock together in a satisfying way, and the game never feels repetitive or boring. Family favourite at my house! (0 more)
It is a strategy game, so after a while some people may get very good at the game to the point where them winning is a guarantee. Not good for sore losers. (0 more)
Fantastic and fun strategy game

Fantastic violent origin story for Batman's butler
Young Alfred Pennyworth is recently back from duty in the war and looking to set up his own security firm. His need for justice to prevail and his cunning and physical abilities mean he gets himself into trouble quickly and frequently. A great political plot starts to reveal itself underneath Alfred's life story as is his place in the outcome of it.

It's not groundbreaking but it isn't bad.
I enjoyed reading this book as the author made one of the characters so unlikable that anytime something bad happened to him, I'd cheer it on.

I'm not going to say that the book is fantastic because I personally found some parts of it rather boring but if you want a book to burn through quickly, this is a good choice.

"Fantastic cast, such smart writing, really quick-fire storytelling. Woody Allen is someone who doesn’t, I think, dumb down his pictures for an audience. He gives his audience credit, and I appreciate that. I enjoy that feeling that the director’s respecting me as an audience member; he’s not feeling as though I can’t potentially keep up with the pace that he’s setting or the story he’s laying down."

Premature rating from a book nerd.
I will update this review after I see the series. I am a huge fan of Leigh Bardugo and I hope the series lives up to her fans expectations. I want the flirts, the fights and the fantastic plot twisty actioness!

"I’d say The Shining. One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I’m a huge Jack Nicholson fan. He’s obviously… Everything from Five Easy Pieces, another one that’s just phenomenal to me… Yeah, he’s a god to me. I love him. I don’t know how to properly explain why, but he’s just fantastic. His sense of humor, his intensity, his charm, you know. There’s only one Jack. I love him."

"It just cuts in, doesn't it? It's like, 'what the fuck are you doing?' The lyrics are a bit cheesy, but it was written early on, and we forget that the early 80s were only a few years away from the mid-70s, when all really juicy stuff was happening. It's all connected. So you can forgive the cheesy lyrics, and it's a really fantastic song. Brilliant, really."

"A fucking fantastic song. It can stand alongside anything for Appetite for Destruction: that chorus, that intro, it just makes the hairs on your arm stand up. It's so fucking good. Really, really exciting. I know by this time they're all blown up and everyone's slagging them off for doing two double albums that had patchy shit on them, but what can you say? I don't think it matters really."
