Mesmerising memoir of the 1970s art scene
I was worried that this was another overhyped autobiography of another self-congratulating artist. But I was proved totally wrong. Patti Smith is truly unique and interesting, having had a life of hardship living on the streets to living with a partner equally mixed up, to engaging in a world that was the founding of America's modern art scene. More than the meandering, wonderful, dark tales is her liquid prose. She's not only an inspired poet but a fantastic all-round writer. She was known for all of her relationships with famous men, but this is about the one man who mattered the most. Well worth all of the awards.

Pennywise is very creepy (2 more)
Children were fantastic
It was funny
Wow!
I love the original film and was so unsure whether anyone but Tim Curry could play Pennywise, however I was very wrong Bill Skarsgard is amazing and so creepy!! I am a big Stephen King fan and hoped they could do it justice and they so did. I don't think it is as scary as the trailers depict, gory and creepy yes, but scary, no. I laughed, I jumped and I found myself watching the movie with no toilet breaks and thinking surely it can't be over yet! A well made and totally great film, doing justice to both Stephen King and Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

Robin Williams is fantastic in Aladdin during the 1990's Disney Renaissance
This film just makes me melancholic now watching the sheer genius Robin Williams as the Genie. To improvise the character to such an extent just goes to show Williams' incredible talent.

The animation itself is the first time to feature a non-white Disney princess, hence it is important to show the significance of characters from BAME backgrounds. It's disappointing to hear that the movie version is going to be whitewashed.

It is funny, clever, and is part of the 'Disney Renaissance' - a hip new sensibility to animated features and which still stands up in the age of Pixar and DreamWorks thanks largely to RW.

A friend introduced me to My Hero Academia and right from the first episode I was hooked. The story has a great and interesting concept, the characters are great, and the music and artwork for it are fantastic. Each character is quite memorable and I love how the episodes show what they can do. The main character is great and I find myself really liking him and the fact that with all the rough things he has gone through, he still tries to help others and has a good heart. There are great action scenes and wonderful emotional moments as well. I ended up binge watching all 3 seasons because it is that good.

The Tale Continues...
I was really looking forward to watching ‘Glass’ as I thought ‘Split’ and ‘Unbreakable’ were fantastic films. ‘Glass’ is here to round off the storylines from those two movies, and it sets out to achieve that. However, I just couldn’t seem to connect emotionally to the film, despite outstanding performances from the cast. I also felt the film could have done with being shorter, and I also found myself getting confused with certain parts of the plot. Overall it’s a good movie, but I feel the ending let the whole thing down - there is a slight twist, then everything takes the safe and boring route to end the movie.

Loved this book! I would love to see this as a movie as long as great care was taken in making the magic happen. Wars fought with only chalk drawings by a few select Rithmatists who can control the lines. Unfortunately for Joel he wasn't selected as a Rithmatist but still learns as much as he can about them and their history. This obsession proves to be useful after students go missing from school.
The illustrations in the book were fantastic and went right along with the story and helped with understanding how exactly the chalk drawings are setup and used. Seriously cannot wait for book #2 to hopefully come out sooner rather than later. Amazing author!

This is one of those perfect love/hate relationships that is believable and fun to read. Carter and Reid are at each other throats from the beginning and the way the relationship works out is swoon worthy. The competition isn't all it seems and the ending is perfect. I could not ask for a better contemporary food loving romance.
The only thing that would make this book better is a recipe guide so I can cook the food because it all sounds fantastic and I am hungry after reading this!
Last thing I want to throw in this; thank you for all of the nerdy references they were perfect and my fangirl heart enjoyed it immensely!

Another fantastic addition to some wonderfully reimagined fairy tales. The author does a beautiful job weaving the classic story of Mulan in a Lituanian world. It also gives us a look at two of the youngest members of the Duke of Hagenheims family.
Throughout each book another fairytale unfolds and one of the Dukes children is a central part. I enjoy seeing what happened to the older children now married and how we receive a glimpse of their furtures through these books.
As always it is a well done version of Mulan that captures the soul of a warrior. A must read for fans of romance, fairy tales, and Melanie Dickerson's stories.
