The Perfect Travelling Companion
This book is laugh out loud funny filled with interesting historical stories as well as up to date information with personal quirky stories thrown into the mix. A well-written travel guide mixing personal adventures with information about places, things to do and see (or not) and gives a true impression of the expanse of this enormous country!
As a traveller with a 3 week trip booked later this year, this truly was a fantastic read to offer insight into a unknown world (for me!). Who knew their political system was so complex? Or their history so diverse? Let the adventures commence !

Wonderful Insight
Wow what a fantastic insight into one of Britain's greatest actors. Although he died at just 31 years of age its incredible to think of how much he had done and how much he was loved and respected by everyone he ever knew, whether it be actors, school friends or anyone else. He truly is missed even to this day and this book is a must read for fans of either him, Porridge or Rising Damp. In fact just give it a read and see what you think. I would say its one of the most insightful biographies i have read :)

Fantastic Lovecraftian D&D lite style rpg
I absolutely love this game. It is a very complex story drive dog with Lovecraftian themes and monsters. Its a perfect way for his stories to come to life and each scenario does feel like solving a mysterious puzzle. There are only 4 scenarios in the core box but a load of expansions and additional online content. Everyome who I play this with loves it. The app saves a lot of time which would be the dm to figuring out what to do next. Its not a cheap game but in my opinion very well worth it.

This book and the previous in the series, The Mark Of The Raven are both amazing and I Love them!
The characters are great, their development and the romance - and I usually am not big on romance, slow burn. The inner turmoil and fight with good and bad choices was fantastic. Well developed, great story and plot and everything. I cant wait to read the next book or maybe reread the first two again.
This series is reminding me so much of Muirwood series by Jeff Wheeler that I LOVE so much!
If you havent checked this out, Get on it! You dont want to miss these fab books!

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!!!!!
I finally got the chance to watch this movie and oh boy it was excellent, the chemistry between Bale and Damon is phenomenal, the plot is fantastic, the racing is like your actaully their. James Mangold did a perfect job directing this movie.
The Plot: American automotive designer Carroll Shelby and fearless British race car driver Ken Miles battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary vehicle for the Ford Motor Co. Together, they plan to compete against the race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
A must watch film, if you havent seen it yet.

Clever

Short, sharp story
Hummingbird Creek is psychiatric hospital where vitamins and forced schedules are key.
A short sharp snappy novel with a fantastic idea and some good characters. The plot twists were interesting if a little obvious for me, although this is below my reading grade.
The teenagers have limited lives and it is quite sad in places. Often perked up by the happier characters in the book.
The book potentially misses a trick by not delving into the problems of the characters very deeply. Could be some learning points for the target audience. I suppose that may stop it from having the quick read feel and it may get darker

Great!
This movie is SO much better than I expected. The little boy from "The Shining" is all grown up. He and a young girl with psychic abilities(shine)take on a powerful cult of monsters posing as people. The acting is really good and the cinematography very good. The story unfolds beautifully with many twists and turns and ups and downs. If you enjoyed "The Shining" you'll really enjoy this one. The special effects were pretty cool. I wouldn't recommend it for younger viewers as there are some fairly graphic violent scenes. Overall though this one has lots of emotional moments and plenty of creep factor. The ending is fantastic. Really worth a watch!

This is a fantastic novel! The well rounded characters, interest backgrounds and fast pace make for a can’t-put-down page turner. I enjoyed the several layers to each sub-plot and how certain people/events were connected and some were not. It takes a skilled writer to be aware of how much to include as well as how much to omit. This author is amazing! Most of the questions we, the reader, start out with in this novel are answered by the end in a way that gives us the satisfaction of “an ending” but leave enough hanging so that we are intrigued by the possibilities and will be waiting for the next installment. Great book!
