It Happened One Night (1934)
It Happened One Night (1934)
1934 | Classics, Comedy, Romance

"I love It Happened One Night, which was… I’m trying to remember what year that was; was it 1929? But it was just this great, fantastic kind of screwball comedy, like one of the first real romantic comedies, and I think it was also like the first film to win all of the major academy awards. I’m a big Capra fan; I ove Frank Capra’s movies. That film really resonated with me when I saw it. Any chance I ever have to see that is great. I actually saw it in a movie theater once, and it was such a great experience. To see classic movies like that in a movie theater, it’s an opportunity that you rarely have. I really love that."

Bjerner is blind and is also one of the emperors closest friends and body guard, unfortunately through circumstances out of his control the emperor is assassinated and dies thinking that its Bjerner that has betrayed him.
Bjerner is devastated and seeks comfort from Ophidia, a warm friendship that blooms into love.

Miranda has done it again! Another fantastic novella. This is the 3rd in the fairytales of the myth series and is the darker version of beauty and the beast. This one is a lot gentler than the other 2 but it doesn't take anything away from the story. She is truly a talented author

I deffinatly recommend this story but make sure you read the other 2 aswell! 4/5

"I’m tempted to say Arrival, because I used to stare at the album cover as a kid, but Voulez-Vous was sort of my introduction to proper French. The arrangements on the record are great, and Does Your Mother Know is a fantastic rock song. That riff could have easily been on a T. Rex record. “They were a little ahead of the curve. This record is right before a lot of people started combining disco and rock, and I think ABBA did it rather inadvertently. Beautiful songs, incredible production. Anybody who puts down ABBA is just plain mad. The songs are light and bouncy, but if you listen to the lyrics, there’s a lot of sadness there. Pretty interesting."

The Wild Bunch (1969)
1969 | Action, Drama, Western

"Wild Bunch, yeah. I’ve seen that as many times as I’ve seen any… it was just a great classic western. The wonderful characters — full of great character actors, you know: Warren Oates, Strother Martin, L.Q. Jones, William Holden, Robert Ryan — they’re just terrific. Just from the acting point of view, the whole shape of it was brilliant, and the story. It was violent and sexy and beautiful. And a fantastic narrative — ambitious and big. Impossible to imagine anyone doing it now, really. I’m a child of that, the Bonnie and Clyde to Raging Bull period, you know. Those are the films that heightened my interest in acting and movies and everything. But that’s the sort of classic of that period, I suppose."

Hmm, what can I say about this film? I guess... this film did indeed shit the bed.

First, this movie was directed by Josh Trank, the dude responsible for that clusterf*** of a Fantastic Four movie.
This movie didn't really have a main plot. It was Tom Hardy, being completely immersed in a role. It was kind of like a train wreck, I didn't want to turn it off, mainly because I wanted to see if the slightly interesting sub-plot line about a possible $10mil buried somewhere.

I do have to give all the supporting actors credit, it must have been incredibly hard to keep straight faces the entire time.

At least I only wasted 85 minutes of my life on this.

Season 1 Review
This show, I think I binge watched in only a matter of days. It is quite different from the book if you have read that first, but regardless, it is a fantastic show. It is very much a psychological thriller in that you won't really have that, "OH!" Moment until around the last episode, in which you will be so disappointed that it is over and want there to be more. There may be a few moments of confusion, but push through as it really does all make so much sense in the end. Overall, a very well directed, produced, and cast show that you are guarenteed to love!

I am 25 years of age,and this book terrified me. I LOVED it, it was spooky it was creepy it was absolutely fantastic. The illustrations in it were just magnificent and the story itself was one I have never known before. It was so well written with just the right amount of creepyness. Coraline moves into a new home, but something doesn't feel right. Is it the mist? or the signs of danger people keep warning her about? It's not. It's the flat that is empty behind the door in the drawing room. Where her other Mother and Father live, with black buttons for eyes and papery skin. They're waiting for Caroline to join them and stay forever and ever. Oh I just LOVED it!

A gripping read
I love it when you pick up a book that you know nothing about, from an author you've never read before and it turns out to be a fantastic and addictive read.

This is marvellous Victorian thriller set from the points of view of two flawed yet highly interesting characters. The central plot of murder, intrigue and abuse is written very well and is a brilliant page turner. I literally couldn't put this book down. It's not perfect and gets a tad rambly at times with some slightly old school language, but for the most part it's such an entertaining read. And the ending was completely unexpected and such a great twist, I really didnt see it coming.

Just fantastic!
I'm not a reviewer that likes to include spoilers - especially on films I want people to watch so all I will say is this:
Please watch this. It's so fascinating, the story is unlike anything I've ever heard or seen before. It's not the usual Brat Pitt movie, but opposite Cate Blanchett he shines through. They both wouldn't usually be put together yet they work! It's a story that isn't realistic yet with the many other amazing actors/actresses in this movie it feels so real.
