Tense and Surprising
This was a gripping book. The characters were all perfectly rounded and sympathetic and it really sucks you in.
There are a number of story threads running simultaneously and, whilst complex enough to be interesting, they never get confusing.
The 'whodunit' part of the novel is gripping yet it is so much more than that - ultimately it is a story of secrets and the far reaching consequences of them.

I really look forward to seeing much more of Maggie James!

I found the idea behind this book interesting but I found the book slow going. I kept waiting for something to happen and it never really did, and then it just ended. Perhaps this is because I was expecting something different, in particular more action, but it's a far more subtle kind of story. Maybe just not my kind of book.
Having said that I found the main character likeable and the book itself was easy to read.

To be honest, the first time I saw WW, I was honestly disappointed; my expectations were clearly set too high. The second time I saw, I enjoyed it far more as I knew what to expect and was able to enjoy the movie for what it was. DC must be ecstatic that WW did well. I can't imagine they could have kept their cinematic universe running for much longer if this had been a dud like the previous three movies.

Unusual, not as good as first but intriguing twist
Very unusual story, with Paula Hawkins using a similar back and forth narrative with several narrators as in Girl On A Train. The difference being there are more than one primary characters and the neurotic protagonist is played down far more than in her previous novel. And there are numerous subplots which actually confused the entire story and does not seem to thread together very well. It would have been better with less complications.

I enjoyed it quite a bit ad played it several times in a row. It's not in my collection yet because I have other priorities, but i enjoyed it and would play it again if it offered. after only two plays it's hard to say how much i really liked the game which is why it's only an 8 so far....

I found this to be a sweet story. Not the best time-travel romance I've read, but it is far from the worst. Rome and Adrian were pleasant characters, although Adrian's constant questioning and thought process could get annoying at times. The end was a bit rushed and I wish it could have been a little different, but it was decent. Still, I thought it was a lovely story with likeable, and one not so likeable, characters.

Jason Statham returns as The Mechanic (codename for an assassin) in the second - and, so far, last - instalment in the series of the same name; a series that attempts to replicate the success of The Transporter series.

This is really just an excuse for stunts featuring the Stathamator, with a simple enough plot and with Jessica Alba and Michelle Yeoh thrown in for no apparent reason at all, while Tommy Lee Jones must simply have been looking for a paycheque!

Be sure to read through to chapter 5. It may seem so hard and not great but if you make it that far you will fall into and read the entire book in one sitting. The characters are strong and wonderful. I absolutely love the creatures in the book. They were probably the greatest part of the book. Fantastic beasts would be proud to be known along with this one. I am excited to see what will happen in the next books.

One of the best reads I've read this year
Caraval was one of my favorite reads so far this year. It was very different from what I usually read, and I'm glad I found it. I love reading about whole new places that aren't part of our world. Stephanie Garber is excellent at descriptive passages of scenery. Her characters help the reader to immerse themselves in her book. Truly magical to read and imagine.

Emotional but beautiful story
The prequel to Max and Chloe's adventures, this one's a heart wrenched. It gives more depth to the first game as you realise the depth of Chloe and Rachel's relationship.

My favourite soundtrack of all the games so far, the band Daughter really help tell the story. I enjoyed the journey becoming the rebel that Chloe is in the first game.

Another heart wrenching beautiful journey.
