Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2357 KP) rated Access Denied (Turing Hopper, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Artificial Intelligence Personality Turing Hopper is excited to finally have a clue to the location of a criminal she needs to track down. However, her PI friend Tim gets accused of a murder when he goes to investigate. The characters are still very real, both human and AIP, and the plot is fast moving. Just read the series in order.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2357 KP) rated The Trouble with Tulip (Smart Chick Mysteries #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Jo Tulip is called on her wedding day to visit a crime scene. The victim is a fan of Jo's household hints column. When her personal life goes south, Jo begins her own investigation into the murder. Can she figure out what happened? The book overcame a slow start to grab me. By the end, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

I listened to the audiobook as I was driving to visit my friends. I actually really enjoyed this book. Lauren Oliver is great at creating a very vivid world and a creepy vibe.
The characters were not as well developed as some of her other books, but I still found them interesting.
The plot itself went along at a nice pace. It was quick but not so fast that you don't know what is happening.
Overall, it is a great read!

A bit of a personal eye-opener!
This isn’t my usual type of book at all, but I’m glad I read it - very entertaining and fast paced. It did require a bit of concentration with all of the intrigue, back story, twists and turns, but I think I ‘got it’ in the end! I can’t say as I’ve ever really read a book based on espionage before, but thanks to The Pigeonhole (again!) I tried it and I liked it.

We got a bit better here - I even took a photo of one of the pages because it was SO insanely true to my life it's not even funny. I think Rin is again growing up a bit too fast - even though she's truly not - her capacity for things is totally above her years - I don't mind her now caregiver at all but I do think he's a giant child - again, it's interesting to see what is inside their heads

The Craggus (360 KP) rated The Last Sharknado: It's About Time (2018) in Movies

It's all been leading to this? The Last Sharknado: It's About Time (2018) #Review
You know what? It’s not the worst Sharknado there’s ever been (*cough* Global Swarming *cough*). Since about the fourth one, the franchise has been attempting a “Fast & Furious”-style genre pivot away from ludicrous environmental survival horror to ridiculous sci-fi action adventure but for that you’d need a Vin Diesel equivalent and the Sharknado budget barely stretches to vin du table...
