Another good novella

This is the second novella in the fairytales of myth series and I was as hooked on this one as I was the first it really doesn't seem to go on long enough. The raw pain and anguish Thalliya feels watching her family murdered is horrendous i feel it with her, I also get why she freezes that heartache is certainly one that takes your breath away! The relationship between Ragnar and Thalliya and how it grows and flourishes is very steamy but also needed by both of them. Its sad to know it doesn't last.I enjoyed the fast pace of the tale and that it doesn't hang around there is adventure from the start deffinatly a fantastic read4/5 absolutly cannot wait for the next installment

The main leads in this novel are two detectives, Wolf and Baxter, and they are absolutely incredible. The story is told from multiple perspectives, showing the hard work of many, smaller characters mentioned throughout the book. Wolf and Baxter are very complex and messed up people, but their witty and sarcastic life stories were a real joy to read. The bond between Wolf and Baxter is truly special and reading about their interactions with each other and other characters provided so much insight into their true personalities. I really loved the way Daniel Cole developed and presented all the characters in this novel.

The narrative of this book was full of suspense and surprises. It is pretty fast-paced, and the characters are being killed off quite quickly.

He says his foundation is all rock and soul but we also hear some deep folk roots. Matt Shill is a singer-songwriter from New York, currently based in Miami, Florida. He has a great falsetto, and something about this groove gets me giddy; the 6/8 is so fast you sort of miss it until you are forced to wonder where the snare hits are coming from. It's like an audio version of Where's Waldo, and it's just fun.

This song is a journey through somewhere we've never been. It feels Raphael Saadiq at the same time it feels like Damien Rice; this is modern music at it's best: true synthesis between roots of folk, soul, and rock with a strong voice, good polish, and some elements of surprise.

deeper strategy than anticipated
Theme doesn't really fit.... maybe it should be the English? (0 more)
Better than it should be considering you don't plunder pillage anything.
I really enjoyed my play of this one, we took it home and played it about 3 more times that night. It really is a fast economic based game. but the puzzle of the market bidding is fun. and trying to anticipate others moves is also fun. So far we have only played the basic rules, and not made our way to the advanced ones yet. But I'm glad I've added this to our collection.

All that said: don't expect to do viking things, there is no killing and pillaging, and raiding... your warriors defend, and don't attack... seems like a miss as far as theme goes.
