Short to play, but incredibly fun
Oxenfree was a beautifully styled coming-of-age story that pulled the player into the relationships between characters as much as into the drama of the ghost story. At times intense and a little scary (I'm a baby about stuff like that though), but also sweet and compelling. I really wanted everyone to be okay, although I fudged a bunch and not everyone made it out alive.

The actions have consequences aspect is great. The choices felt like realistic situations for the teenagers and each bad/good decision was believable.

Plan on playing this again in the near future to try and better improve my favorite character's chances!

I think I just found my new favorite self help book!
These master plans are perfect for me! I just know l'll go from single
to married by the end of the summer! Seriously for a moment, Jenn Hype's books never fail to make me laugh but she's stepped her game up with this one. It took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. It has everything I've come to expect from s Hype book: A hawt hero , a take no prisoners heroine ...OK maybe one prisoner, and a cast of side characters that keep the party moving. And did I mention funny? I should have because that's a Jenn hype staple and it's definitely within these pages.

What do you do when wrongfully imprisoned? Make a friend and methodically plan and execute your escape of course! At first the pace of the movie seems a bit slow but then you realize you have been sucked in to life at Shawshank. As all of the "meaningless" details get put together you see how the perfect escape is taking place right before your eyes and you might even cheer for Bobby and Red out loud.

This has become one of my favorite movies. Not only is the story and the acting great but you may find yourself questioning the justice in doing the right thing. Overall, great movie ... No matter how many times I see it.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
2001 | Adventure, Fantasy
Start of a brilliant trilogy
One of my favorite book series of all time. This is the sequel to the hobbit books. It tells thr story of how the magic ring was found and that yet again a young hobbit who is destined to bring it back to the famous mountain where it it was found. We learn of it's power and the fellowship who chooses to help the young halfling to bring it back and keep him unharmed. The book is so much better because of the detail in it but the acting is great and tries to keep up with the book. The best way to view these movies is to watch the hobbit movies and then start this series as it helps answer many questions.

UUGGHHHHHHH it should have been Daryn! (You will know what i mean when you read it) But that last round of chapters. Holy mother of mercury. I wanted to toss the book, stop reading, but then i was like i HAVE to finish i cannot just not finish. It was a action packed story that really hit you with the Horsemens bond. I liked their bond more then the relationship aspect that this book tried to produce. Those parts fell REALLY Flat for me. I wished there were more about the other horseman. Not 100% sure i want to read the next one only because its in the POV of my least favorite character in the book. Maybe ....we will see. But yeah this book was worth the slow begging :)

Ugh! I'm so frustrated! Who knows how long I'm going to have to wait to find out happens next!? That is the crappiest part of this book. There are still so many loose ends with the conclusion of this part.
As usual, this book did not disappoint. There was still the usual blend of treachery, lies, murder, etc. Without giving too much away, I was thrilled to read about Cersi finally getting hers!! She is one of my least favorite characters. But I was also bummed to read the arc of Jon Snow. :( I'm hoping that Martin has a surprise up his sleeve still with Snow. He was an intriguing character.
I guess all I can do now is wait with the rest of the world to see what happens next. Well played Martin!

Out of the Wicked series, I liked this book the least so far. I couldn't get into it the way I did the first 2 books. My favorite piece of the book is the fact that you get the REAL story on the history of several of the characters...especially Mother Yackle.
I think part of the reason I didn't enjoy this as much is that this book is the story of the Cowardly Lion. I never appreciated him much in the Wizard of Oz as it is so I went into this book with a bit of bias already. I just didn't find Brrr (yes, that's his name) as interesting a character as I did the others. The book was still well written however so that saved it in my eyes.

This was a good read for sure! I think I've found a new author worthy of my reading time thanks to this Goodreads Giveaway win.
The reviews compare Dugoni to John Grisham. When I first saw that I wasn't too thrilled. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Grisham. He just isn't one of my favorite go-to authors, not 1 I always count on for an engrossing read. There are similarities in their styles...legal thrillers, lawyers as main characters, etc. But to me, Dugoni's action is more captivating. This book got me thinking, but it also wasn't too over my head with "legal speak." The characters are well written, believable with a mix of the incredible...just like real life.
I'm looking forward to reading more of Dugoni's work!

The overfocus and over wordiness of the battle scenes
Writing style left me cold
A classic, but not my favorite fantasy by a long shot.
I have reread these and enjoyed them more the second time around, mostly because I felt justified in skipping bits about battle details and the songs (and most of anything to do with the humans, really)

I know that Tolkien was a linguist, and even made up a usable language for the elves, so it rather baffles me that the writing seems so flat. I can only conjecture that it is matter of perfecting language rather than using it as a tool for evoking something in the reader. I am guessing it is just a difference of preferences.

I am a huge fan of James Patterson. The Women's Murder Club is my favorite series. This book did not disappoint at all.

This time, Lindsay Boxer is having a baby. She and Joe Molinari successfully got married in the last book and now baby makes three. Lindsay is just getting back to work and boy does she have her hands full. A body has been stolen from the ME's office. An old case she helped the FBI on has resurfaced and there is a professor who is dreaming about murders before they happen.

All of this is a lot for a regular cop to handle, but add in the emotions of just having a baby and trying to catch a killer and will Lindsay be able to handle it all.
