"A book analyzing the films of French director Catherine Breillat, one of my favorite directors, is infinitely fascinating for how it dissects her treatment of subject matter: desire, shame, body image and male/female power struggles as sexuality."

Loved it!!!
This book is great for a video game loving, 80s reminiscing, sci-fi geek who needs a good read. This book is really well read and came across really nice to those who would understand all of the 80s references. One of my favorite books that I have read in a while!!!

Not my favorite
This book has some nice imagery, but for the most part it is an unimpressive read. I think this may be partly due to the fact that there were to many characters. The book wasn't long enough to support them all, and by the end I hadn't connected with any of them.

I have read books where having a large cast works well, but they are almost always longer.

That's pretty much what I was figuring. Part of it relies on the length of the story, and the other part relies on character development.

It is a good winters tale, i snuggled up in the sofa with a hot chocolate and a large thick red blanket. i wouldn't say it is my favorite book so far but i will defiantly read it again.

Definitely my favorite Monk book so far. As a whole, it's more solid than the previous two books and how can you not like Monk being made captain? Good, light entertainment. If you need more Monk, pick it up. :)

Nicely balanced fantasy novel on the struggles of war (0 more)
The first book was definitely my favorite, but I appreciated the incorporation of Mik and Suzanna in the Chimera world. It gave the story just the right amount of levity.

This is by far my most favorite book from this author. This definitely tested my limits in one part to where I had to take a break. Yolanda never disappoints when it comes to her sick and demented ways.

Horror tv show prequel to Psycho, an Alfred Hitchcock film from 1960 and book by Robert Bloch. Very intense, lots of blood, lots of gore. My favorite show of all time. Genuinely cried when it ended

While not my new favorite book like I was hoping, I definitely enjoyed most of it, it just took me a little longer to get into then I would have liked. Will definitely be checking out other books by this author.
