CHILLFILTR (46 KP) rated Mary Jane by Judy Blank in Music
Jul 11, 2019
With a great feel on the production and some nice guitar licks threading the needle between country and rock, this song hits the melody funny bone and then feels right on for those of use that partake. It's a chuckle and a finger on the nerve all at the same time. Hooks and melody abound.
And for the rest of you that aren't particularly interested in the play by play, the verdict is still out. How high is too high a price for being happy?

LeftSideCut (3776 KP) rated The Bubble (2022) in Movies
Apr 6, 2022
Man, The Bubble is a weird one. I didn't feel particularly entertained at any point, but still managed to sit through it with minimal effort. It's just kind of there. It's sort of funny, and not at the same time. I've forgotten most of it to be honest, and I watched it about 5 hours ago. It already feels dated in its subject matter. I'm really excited for the day that TikTok dies. I thoroughly enjoyed the James McAvoy cameo. I definitely feel empty inside.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Trigger Point in TV
Feb 28, 2022 (Updated Feb 28, 2022)
Good but not explosive
From the same team as Line of Duty and the Bodyguard series comes this shot series following an Explosive Officer on the Police force. It's interesting and feels realistic in terms of the police side of things dealing with a series of explosive devices are found in London. Good production values but the main plot is quite simple compared to the intricate plots of Line of Duty. It's very short at 6 episodes as well.

Great racing scenes (1 more)
David Harbour
A good Sport action film based on the game
A Film based on a true story of a game player who got a chance to race for real.
The racing scenes are very impressive and even some good SFX going from Simulation to real world. The off track story feels a bit cliché but David Harbour stands out from a mixed cast which includes Geri Halliwell. In terms of race action up there with Rush and Ford Vs Ferrari.

LeftSideCut (3776 KP) rated Monster Hunter (2020) in Movies
Feb 23, 2022
Please, please, for the love of God please stop letting Paul WS Anderson adapt beloved video games into "films"
Nothing about Monster Hunter feels rewarding. The narrative is diabolically boring, the CGI is complete ass, the dialogue is dumb, and above all none of it is fun.
This 1 star is purely for a half decent final fight scene, Meowscles, and Ron Perlmans hilarouslty stupid wig.
Tony Jaa going from Ong Bak and Warrior King to shit like this and Jui Jitsu is heartbreaking
