Gotta love the cast for this movie. They definitely elevate this film. It's not the best film ever made, but it's definitely a fun time!

I love this film I might not have been alive when it came out but I love it ❤️❤️It’s a film you now quotes from and a film to watch with whole family. The plot line and characters make the film so much better from the funny one lines to the chocolate bar they eat. I recommend this film to everyone one no matter how old or young you haven’t lived if you haven’t watched it at least once??

The hype is definitely justified for this film. It's between this film and @Witness for the Prosecution (1957) for the best courtroom dramas ever made.
The tension is perfect throughout the movie, and the decision-making process on whether or not the defendant was guilty of the crime or not.
Every courtroom drama after this film has been undoubtedly inspired by this film. If you've never seen it and are a fan of courtroom/crime genres, this is a can't-miss film.

Suspenseful atmosphere
Great suspense and tension but abysmal ending
The director of this film (Susanne Bier) clearly studied other films of this genre to know how to successfully create a tense and suspenseful atmosphere throughout the duration of the film. Since the 'creatures' are not seen in the film, this really helps the audience's imagination picture various ideas of these 'creatures'. However, my only problem with this film is the ending feels rushed and vague which doesn't tie up any loose ends of the film. Therefore, this leads to the whole experience and atmosphere of the film being subdued by this abysmal ending which could of been improved. I feel that this film could've got a much better rating if this ending was thought about more. A brilliant film with a sub-brilliant ending
