Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Hell on Wheels (Black Knights Inc., #1) in Books
Feb 13, 2018
I found Ali very annoying, there's only so much puking I can handle in any book and this reached my limit. I thought Ali would have been much stronger than she was but that said I did enjoy the first book in the series and I'm sure I'm going to love the rest

Absolutely love this book.
It's easy to read and once I got started I found it hard to put down. I feel the relationship between Xandra and Vex is great. She's not a damsel in distress that needs saving and he knows that. He helps her and she helps him.

Truth be told: I wasn't really all that impressed by this novel. I found the plot to be pretty obvious from the get-go, none of the central characters to be all that interesting, and the phonetic spelling of pronunciation to be rather off-putting.
Perhaps I'm just not the target audience?
