Dominique Marie (7 KP) rated Women Who Run with the Wolves: Contacting the Power of the Wild Woman in Books
Nov 28, 2018 (Updated Nov 28, 2018)
This book was very interesting. You don't have to buy into the whole Jungian interpretations to enjoy it. Some of it resonated with me, and some of it didn't, but, as a literature major, I found it fascinating, and I loved the myths/stories alone. I gave it four stars because it was too repetitive at times for my liking.

Kelsey (4 KP) rated The Silent Companions in Books

This was a chilling read. Kept the suspense all the way through. Throughout the novel, however, it became predictable as to what would happen. A lot of horror troupes found themselves repeated. There is a lot more to this book than what is presented on the surface. If you're a fan of gothic horror, give this one a shot.

Lizzi Lewins (73 KP) rated The Walking Dead - A TellTale Games Series: Season 1 in Video Games
Jan 9, 2019
Really enjoyed this game from the start. The story is immersive and whilst there were a couple of characters I didn't care for, I found myself really drawn into each individual persons story. I live that each decision effects the rest of the game and because of that this is a game I will go back to a good few times.

I haven't read the book so cannot compare but when I saw that it was an adaptation from a Jo Nesbo book I was hopeful it was going to be good. The start of the film piqued my interest but it was downhill from thereon. I found it confusing and guessed who the killer would turn out to be. Disappointing.

Laura lou (304 KP) rated The Meg (2018) in Movies
Dec 13, 2018
A good film with a good story line, but i didn't love it. I enjoyed watching it and found it entertaining and not too far fetched. The acting was ok but i don't think that the film lived up to the hype that it got. Probably not something i would watch a second time unless somebody i was with wanted to watch it.

Lalaceri (1 KP) rated Conversations With A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes in TV
Jan 29, 2019
Pretty good.
I've always been interested in these kind of documentarys and the chilling fact that they are true. I enjoyed this one also and the way they told the story was great, but I found there was something lacking and I drifted away a few times. There was too much hype leading up to it and it disappointed because of that.

Erika (17789 KP) rated Star Wars: Han Solo - Imperial Cadet in Books
Aug 13, 2019
This miniseries was not a great addition to the legend of Han Solo. I found it a little boring, and half of the first issue was a re-hash of the beginning of Solo. I would have thought Han's adventures in the Imperial Navy would have been at least a little more entertaining. This is one you can definitely skip.

James Koppert (2698 KP) rated the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in Video Games
Oct 28, 2019
I was obsessed
I spent hours and hours getting platinum on this game. As a Call of Duty fan I started to leave it behind when I found Battlefield. Online was so better balanced, less run and gun and more help your team achieve. I lost so much of my life playing.

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America in Books
Dec 31, 2019
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I found this book to be a delightful mix of snark and knowlege. The drawings are wonderful.
The book includes maps of migratory patterns and a section on extinct birds.
Would definitely recommend as vacation reading for a trip to Bodega Bay.

Jeremy King (346 KP) rated The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986) in Movies
Nov 26, 2019
The premise behind the book and the movie asks: What would a clan of Neanderthals do if they found a Cro-Magnon infant who has been left behind by her group and injured. Given that what we know about the Neanderthals since "Clan of the Cave Bear" was filmed, I think the answer might be similar to the story in the film.
